45" Black Triple Velvet-30 Yards Wholesale by The Bolt

I used this velvet for the walls in our home theater 2 absorb reflected light from the screen and also to absorb sound. It is excellent thick velvet. I couldn't find anywhere near this price anywhere else on the internet. Excellent.

Bought an entire bolt of this fabric. First 15 yards were nice and dark black. The second half of the roll had dye inconsistencies and appears more of a faded black when sitting next to the first half. Very noticeable and I cannot use the 2nd half of the roll on my project. Waste of money and not refundable. Who rolls out 30 yards of fabric before using it to check color consistancy.

I used this fabric as curtain walls for a haunted house theme. It does not totally block out light unless you double up, but it comes close. Very easy to cut / trim and drapes very well. Looking out from the dark enclosure, you can see out into a well lit space, but absolutely nothing can see in — similar to looking out through heavily tinted car windows in the daylight. The fuzzy side was always facing inward toward the enclosed space. A heavier weight or thicker nap would’ve been ideal, but the price was reasonable and it worked well.

Perfect material to put up home theater room treatment to go the extra mile and black out your bat cave. More than enough material for walls and ceiling in my bonus room theater.

I ordered this on the 11th and there is still no tracking information. It has been 17 days. It looks as though they created a shipping label, but never shipped it. The fabric may be fine, but I don't recommend the seller.

Fantastic price and material. Makes other velvet look gray. This is perfect for a home theater install. These pictures are with lights on and flash on the camera.

i covered nearly my entire home theater with this stuff and the difference between dark painted drywall & black velvet is night & day. i could never go back! if you have a dedicated room and are using a projector i highly recommend doing the same.

After finishing my HT black out project I realized that this not velvet. First, the fabric I received has no plush and the back is totally rigid. More like an upholstery fabric. Second, the wide is 58" and not 45" as advertised. Third, when compared to Sy Fabrics Triple Black Velvet you can see that the one I received is more like dark grey. I'm contacting Maybeca to ask for a refund as this is not the material I ordered. I'm redoing my project next week with another velvet from another supplier.
