Excellent, if you know how to use it.
This bread slicer is way better than the plastic one I used for years.I noticed a lot of people panned it for not slicing all the way to the bottom of the loaf. To them I say "FLIP THE SIDES OVER! YOU'RE USING IT UPSIDE DOWN!" I understand it doesn't come with instructions, but c'mon folks, it's not rocket surgery, Sheesh!

This is the slicer you want. I love it!
Love this thing. Me and my boyfriend love homemade bread so this is a game changer. After cutting a couple almost perfect loafs I’m getting perfectly cut bread slices. Doesn’t cut bread all the way to the bottom so I have to flip the bread over to cut other side but I think that’s better the cutting all the way through and cutting the bottom hundreds of times over its life span. I like the different widths, I was worried the thick would be too think and the thin too thin but I just line my bread up on the thick side and just slice in all the thicknesses and there’s not too much of a difference between the thick and thin but you can also just skip a slot and make it thicker. But this pandemic has me trying to eat less bread haha so I stick to the normal slices. It came with these little rubber feet pads you can stick to the crumb tray and they keep it steady while slicing bread which is a MUST if you’ve ever tried to cut a loaf on a cutting board the slides around. Easy to clean, I just use my hands to brush the crumbs out of the crumb catch and wipe down with a cloth dampened in the super diluted bleach and water cleaner I use on my wooden kitchen tools. Fold it up and I use a rubberband to keep the 3 pieces together and stores with my cutting boards.

A Good Bread Slicing Guide
Attractive, sturdy, and useful this bread slicing guide does what its advertised to do providing a way to slice your loaves of bread in straight and neat rows of varying thicknesses. The unit unfolds with ease and the sides spin around and click into place locking each side of the guide into 90 degree angles. The back stop board slides into place perfectly and once assembled the guide sit in it's crumb catchier try perfectly ready for business. It folds up just as easily for storage and I often leave the sides down and use the cutting board and tray on its own.Note that the guide is made of bamboo and so the wood is relatively soft. Cutting your bread will leave cuts and knife marks along the board. The unit is not dishwasher safe. To clean just wipe down with a damp towel and shake out the crumbs.

works ok
disappointed, came in a ziplock bag, probably a return. No instructions, I just looked it back up on amazon, after weeks of using it and getting huge slices, to discover there was actually 3 sizes , one end, middle and other end. Not that easy to clean slots because its wood. if you have a say raisin bread gets stuck in rungs. I first bought a small folding plastic, which the slices still too big. And you must have a longer knife to use. and since no instructions came with I had to figure out how to fold and unlock because it does do that when flipped over have to push in each end and to lock so it doesnt move around when slicing. I wouldn't buy again. I wish I could find one that cuts normal size slices for toast or sandwiches.

Love the Quality, Ease & Conveniance
I have had several different bread slicers and this is by far the best I have tried, it is made well and looks nice, it is easy to use, it is convenient, takes up little space and the clean up is easy. I have had bread slicers that either fall apart due to thin wood or being made of cheap plastic and just poor workmanship they are bulky and take up a large amount of space. The Flurff Bamboo Bread Slicer can fold up and be stashed in a drawer until ready to use it again. It is a nice looking slicer, the tray bottom is made of a thinner wood, the slicer spines are nice and sturdy. The slice sizes are adjustable so that you can cut your bread thin sliced for sandwiches or thicker sliced for bagels or English muffins. I am planning on buying a few more of these for gifts for my baking friends. This is a nice set for the kitchen.

Flimsy, hard to use and clean.
Very flimsy, which means all the divisors that are supposed to guide a straight cut wiggle around when you’re cutting, making it very hard to get the cuts right. To avoid too much wiggle, you have to hold it firmly down, which can mean mangling the bread you’re trying to cut. The wood is also soft, and since there is so much movement while cutting, it’s easy to put little cuts in the wood when the knife doesn’t end up between the slats like it’s supposed to. Over time, that’s going to leave a lot of little cuts that crumbs can settle into and gunk up.Homemade bread, which is sometimes larger on top than store-bought, doesn’t fit well. Cleaning between all those little dividers is a pain. I try to avoid plastic, but in this case I might cave and go for something sturdier and dishwasher safe.I do like the folding aspect for storage efficiency, but it doesn’t compensate for this thing being mostly useless in practice.

Nice if you just want to start the cuts
I guess it's okay. It's a bit annoying that the knife can't get to the bottom of the loaf of bread, so you have to take the loaf out to finish cutting all the way through. The design is awkward as any design could be. It looks nice, but from a functional standpoint, it's pretty bad.

Nice slicer, but a couple problems
I make a lot of homemade bread, and have always had trouble slicing it evenly. This is my first try with a bread slicer, and it does make the process easier and the slices more uniform. Folds up evenly once you figure it out, though I need to put a rubber band around it to hold all the parts together.2 problems: The base (crumb-catcher) tray has, on the sides and ends, four slats of wood that extend down below the actual base of the tray. On each end, the bamboo had split where they extended down. It was easier for me to glue and clamp it than to return, so I did. This was an annoyance. Second, as another viewer mentioned, it's hard to get the knife to slice all the way to the bottom of the loaf. I had to saw away at the bread to cut it completely. Design flaw.
