Great bag, not great for backcountry hiking.
Before I explain my 4 star review let me say that this sleeping bag is super warm and roomy. I mean lots of room. If your car camping, this bag is a great buy.I bought this bag to take on a 3 day hike in Georgia where the temps can get in the single digits at night. I wanted to have something that would keep me warm without costing 400 bucks. I know this bag does that for me. This issue, it's freaking huge. Even when compressing it took a Herculean effort to get it in my backpack. Now in there it has consumed 65% of the space in my 60L pack. I could strap it to the outside (it's 5 lbs) but we have a 90% chance of rain on our hike in so I don't want to take chances. I know once I pull it out and climb in it will be worth it but damn, I was hoping for less of a space hog.I guess you can't get off on the cheap finding a compressed but warm bag when backcountry hiking. Still, a great bag for the price if you are car camping.
