Barfly Japanese Style Jigger, 1 oz x 2 oz, Gun Metal Black

Why do you buy a jigger? So that you can have precision in mixing drinks. There's no other reason, really. This jigger is advertised as "1 oz / 1-1/2 oz ... but what you get is an absurd combination of metric and imperial markers. The small side is marked "3/4 oz" and "1/2 oz", while the larger side is only in metric. Even doing the conversions, the lines are dubious, especially the 3/4 oz line. Plus, the marking on the website photo is "Barfly", while the jiger arrives with a crooked "Mercer Culinary" logo.

I have ordered jiggers before that are not actually accurate, causing my drinks to be slightly off. I have measured this jigger with other equipment, and it is almost 100% on point. The material is thick and sturdy, and it looks very good as well. The interior markers are easy to read and easy to clean.

Looks great and feels nice with good weight. Inside the 1oz end there are two lines with measurements of 1/2oz and 3/4oz engraved into the metal which makes it quite versatile. I'm not sure if the Barfly logo on the outside will wear off over time but it's not important to me... Is this Japanese style jigger better than the typical bar jigger and is it worth paying extra for? In my opinion, yes.

The media could not be loaded.  This isn't a very well made Jigger. The metal feels thin and light weight...Just slightly bulkier than a disposable aluminum pie plate. The edges are very crudely and unevenly rolled over, leaving large gaps for moisture and grime to collect. The internal lines are very faint, so in a dark bar it's hard to hit your mark. Overall I don't recommend this jigger. It will work, but for the price there are much MUCH better options on the market. I returned mine and replaced it with the Pina Slim Jigger, so far I'm very happy with that purchase.

Really like the feel and measurements on this jigger. I use it the most since I can easily transition from 1 and 2 oz and the other measurement lines in each.

This is amazing, already have the average heavy duty one and both are great to use.

This jigger is exactly what I needed. Measurements are clearly marked and easy to read. Lightweight and easy to clean.

tall enough to flip one handed , with ineer measures for 15ml and 30 ml , just what I wanted , love this now permanent feature to the bar ..

Design is different to the one shown in the photos. No logo, just a very small imprint of text in the metal that says "barfly" at the top.

Very good jigger. Since I bought it it’s the jigger I use the most. Very useful having 4 different measures on it 👌🏼
