is durable and waterproof, appears to be holding up well to a 9 month old lab. would recommend more durable zippers instead of the plastic one as she had it broken wthin the first 15 minutes of putting it in our truck.

Hammock for car
I love this item so much! Our 5 month old german shepherd starts drooling as soon as she sits in the car, and begins throwing up shortly after, and after a month we still have not seen damage to the car seats! The hammock fits differently in each car, and the car must have some sort of head rest in the back and front for it to attach to for the product to work.I give this product 4 stars because the hammock doesn't fit well at the ends of the back car seat in our 2014 Honda Civic. I recommend buying Kurgo car door covers to shove into your windows for more coverage. There is about 2 inches on either side of the car between the hammock and the Kurgo door covers that the dog could ruin. We buckle the dog harness to the seat belt and that has prevented her from getting to the open spots so far.We have also found that the end of the zipper ends up being the same elevation as the car seats our dog is on, and we have found wet spots on our upholstery because the zipper doesn't keep water out. To prevent it we tighten the front straps and it pulls the zipper higher, but puts the dog on an incline. (I'm sure it would fit differently with other cars.)

XL? Not
Nice heavy duty material but.... Extra large? Not hardly. Calling it a hammock is appropriate. It hangs from front headrest to rear headrests. It just bearly covers the width don't expect it to hang over the edges of the seat. I'm not sure what car they use in the picture, maybe a compact car. Like others have reported the zipper broke and to be of any use, I had to turn it around.

great investment
My first car seat cover lasted almost exactly 5 years of hard wear by a dog who goes with us most places. We finally had to replace it, and not because the first one really broke down - it just got too grubby, which is the whole point! Better on the cover than on the car seats!High-quality nylon fabric on one side and soft fleece on the other. Hammock does not slip around on the leather seats. Rolls up rightly into a small bundle that doesn't take up much space in the cargo area when not in use. Holds up really well to a dog who sheds a lot and loves to swim in lakes.Only one very minor complaint: The vertical zipper allows my dog to stick her head between the front seats - the zipper doesn't stay up - so we had to reverse it (spin it 180 degrees) so the zipper is against the middle-row seat backs rather than facing the front of the car.I have recommended this product to others.

will not fit on late model Tahoe
Straps are not long enough to go over headrests. Cant adjust longer

This has worked out pretty well in our Ford 250 pickup
This has worked out pretty well in our Ford 250 pickup. It doesn't go across the seats all the way and the zipper has broken already but our big 130 lb lab can lay down comfortably without falling onto the floor anymore. I like that we can wash it and it is easy to put away and bring back out. We will have to rip out some stiching to repair the zipper, wish that had a little better quality. It would never stay up before it broke either. If I had some foresight, I would have kept it closed with a big safety pin at the top to keep the little dog from sneaking his way up the middle and onto the front console between us, because of it being unzipped. (It was okay though, he eventually won the battle)

Pet Travel Hammock
The Hammock fits well and is very durable. The only down side is that it tends to slide across the seat making a little unstable for my dogs. You can keep it from sliding by using the seat belts. However, if your dogs know how to release the seat belt the hammock starts sliding again.

ONE CAN DO BETTER
Works ok; however workmanship was not up to the price.
