Good price for an enterprise grade AP
I have worked on these devices in the past. But the new version has a entirely revamped Web GUI for management. This is a second device I have for my house and once I plugged it in with my own power supply (you have to buy one or use POE), it took the configuration of the master and work right out of the box. The virtual controller setup (default) is great for home or small business.

Great coverage in our 4,100 sq. ft. office building
We installed this on the face of our dropped ceiling tile in the center of our 4,100 sq. ft. office building and the coverage is excellent. Originally thought we might need 2 of these but one did the job. Powered via PoE from our HP 48-port Cat 6 PoE switch. EASY installation.

don't buy from BechTec Global
AP Worked great at first then had some problems. Tried to Warranty with Aruba and learned that BechTec is not an authorized reseller so i am out $500 with no AP now. Buyer Beware!

Bad designed mounting kit.
Very weird design of the mounting kit for ceiling tile grid. First of all, they expect installer to tear down the grid. The second, it doesn’t fit mine. Need to order different mounting kit I guess... waste one day.

Order through and Aruba partner to get what you need!
Note that Aruba has changed the way they do mounts for APs, like the ordering guide clearly says. Order from an Aruba partner and you won't run into issues not getting what you need!

Good entry into Wifi6 and WPA3 -- not compatable with older series APs
I was upgrading my IAP-205 mesh to an AP-515 -- the problem is that the 200 series is stuck on InstantOS release 6 and the 500 series is on version 8 -- all APs must be running same InstantOS version (or at least close enough).So I had to re-establish the cluster from scratch, meaning I had to redefine the WLANs too. I should have tried to restore an old backup.cfg file to see if that would have worked. I'll do that if I have some free time.InstantOS 8 has a new UI but you can choose the old UI dynamically. It takes a bit to get used to the new layout but it looks to be simplified for broader browser compatibility.
