WINKA Grenade Style Black Aluminum Tire Wheel Valve Stem Caps for Car Truck Motorcycle Bike

First off, let me say these are very nicely machined aluminum caps and the color never faded and they did seem to hold up very well to everyday driving conditions. I even liked the look of them on my truck. But here's the problem: While they're aluminum, they will not rust but they will corrode. BADLY. Basically the 2 dissimilar metals of the aluminum and the metal of the Valve stem will create corrosion when they are in contact with each other. So if you don't periodically check the caps, over time they will literally weld themselves on to the point where you can't remove them. I was able to use 2 pairs of pliers to remove 2 of the caps, but had to cut the other 2 off carefully with a cut-off wheel and dremel tool and saved myself the cost of new valvestems. (Which can potentially be very expensive on newer vehicles with sensors. $25-75/ea.) For a bicycle they may work ok, but I wouldn't buy these again for a vehicle. You may find yourself at a gas station with a low tire and no way to put air in it.

I am constantly losing my bicycle valve stem caps, so I bought these figuring I won't misplace them or forget to put them back on after I blow up the tires. I did have difficulty screwing the caps on, and I thought they might be the wrong size. I was ready to return them, but decided to use WD-40 on the valve stems and clean the threads with a towel. Once I did that, the grenade caps screwed on with no trouble. They are unique and definitely a topic of conversation.

I bought these to go on my 2015 Lexus RCF thinking they would be small and almost unnoticeable. They are not, they are about the size of an almond and would have looked very goofy on my car so I am returning them.

Pretty cool item.They look a little large on the car, SoI took them off and went with a smaller stem cover.In the photo, the red one is a normal size cover then compare to the orange grenade size.When putting on or off and you twist the cap make sure you do not put pressure on the black “pull pin” as its flimsy and will break pretty easy. It might even activate the grenade and explode ?I believe I actually received 5 of them and not 4 So you do get an extra if one breaks.

Warning: maybe we mis-read the description but there are 5 caps for each purchase. The description made us think there was only 2, thus buying 5 packs! I haven’t asked for a refund or return. We’ll need to replace them at some point so we’ll keep them but don’t want others to make the same mistake. I had something similar before and lasted a year or so before they must have fallen off. They are a cute touch to a bad a** car.

Nice fun product. Great attention to detail. I was able to make them work for a presta valve by jamming the plastic presta cap into the grenade. Worked great and looks stock.

Very nice light weight aluminum valve stem caps. The top pin part connects like a lego piece. Its a little bulky for what i was expecting but if i had bigger rims then they would match better. Nothing wrong with the product at all very well made.

Gift for my son. He is going to put them on his wheelchair wheels. Seem well made.
