(EA) Fora V10 Premium Talking Blood Glucose Monitor

I had no choice about this monitor as my Medicare supplemental plan only provides this meter. I wanted an Acu-Chek.One test showed a blood sugar of 68, and that did not feel right to me so I used my Acu-Chek. It showed over 200. I may have eaten something sweet and jacked it up higher. I actually took some insulin. 20 minutes later the Foracare showed over 180, Acu-Check was almost exactly what it read before. 2 minutes later (different fingers) the Foracare read another reading about 20 or 30 different. The person I spoke with at the customer service was condescending saying I should go to my doctor if it is high. I told her that a non diabetic's blood sugar would be hiigh 1 hour after a meal. Her implication was that it was not to be used for regulating my blood sugar to which I replied that was exactly what every diabetic uses it for. I am supposewd to get a new one, n ot from the company (as I would if Acu-chek had a problem) but that I should call my insurance and have them send me another one since I cannot trust this one.
