Update: It has been 10 months since I bought this bad boy and it's still going strong. Literally dozens of dough types have done battle with this beast and lost. Pudding cookie dough, stuffed cookie dough, chilled cookie dough, chunky cookie dough, you name it, this scoop has given it a what-for! I love mine. It sucks that some people are getting ones that break, but mine is a trooper, and I'm not gentle on kitchen tools. It's still super comfortable to use, easy to eject even the thickest of doughs, and it cleans up easy. I plan on loving this thing to death, be that it's or mine.Original review: Okay, so I had a Wilton scoop of the same size, and that thing lasted me all of maybe 2 weeks. The dough would get stuck in it, it took enormous hand strength to squeeze the dough out, it was a nightmare.Not this one! I don't know about the difference in designs, but his one definitely FEELS way sturdier. It takes less effort to squeeze the dough out, and my hand hurts way less at he end of a large batch of cookies.It cleans up super easy with just hot water and is dishwasher safe. I've had it for over a month now and really love it. It stands up to my thickest and chunkiest cookie doughs and still works and feels like new. The ergonomics of the handle feel good in your grip, and it never gets all jammed up like my other one.10/10 would recommend.

Much better than other's I have purchased.I don't see any metal flakes in my cookies either.It holds up to my little cottage cookie biz.Good buy.

I was looking for a smaller scooper for my cookies as they are a nice size with my 1 1/2 tablespoon scoopers but I wanted to make some cookies that were a little smaller, and this fit the bill very nicely, also it makes good sized meatballs. So all in all a nice product.

I purchased this cookie dough scooper back in 2022. I finally took it out of the package this year and used it. The first and second time I used it, I kept pinching my finger in the scooper. I don’t know if I was holding it wrong or my hands are just too big, but I would constantly pinch myself when I would squeeze the handles and boy did it hurt. My third time using the scooper, I put the dough in the fridge for 1hr. When I started scooping, after about the 6th cookie, it completely fell apart (yes the dough was too hard). The built-in scraper came off and the gear system rod came off. My husband put it back together, but the built-in scraper somehow broke or part flew off and we couldn’t get it back on. I am still using the scooper and what I do now is, I fill the bowl and then I tap out the dough and it lands in my hand, then I put the cookies sheets with the formed cookies in the fridge. All in all it’s a decent scooper for the price, which in 2022 was $8.97.

Very sturdy—and amazing for those big cookies I like to make at times. It hasn’t broken yet—and I hope it stays that way :)

This is the first cookie scoop I've used that I actually like. It releases the cookie dough cleanly and is comfortable to use. It really cut down on the time it took to form the cookie dough balls compared to doing it by hand. Also the results were consistently sized cookies. This scoop makes large cookies. About 5 inches with my peanut butter cookie recipe.

I love to bake and it's sometimes hard to keep your cookies the same size. This is perfect because it keeps the sizes consistent. I like my cookies to be about the same size as one another so that they bake the same. This is perfect when you are selling cookies or making them for parties. It's light weight and easy to use. Cleaning is very easy also. These make pretty big cookies.

This broke the 3rd time I used it.
