Historical Buffs Read
This is a very interesting book about John Sutter and other historical people who came to California and settled. The book has several different story chapters. It’s a long book so you need to set aside a bit of time to read it all the way through. The book makes you think about how things could’ve been very different for California. Enjoy! Historical buffs will like this!

Excellent, though sometimes too positive of the conquest of American West
Irving Stone writes with passion, and his thrill and excitement can be felt on every page. It puts faces to many names, and is good to read. The book arrived in excellent condition, very happy for the buy.

A Most Enjoyable History of California
This History of California is everything a history usually isn't- starting with an enjoyable, even FUN, very memorable history of a very complex state. Before there was Hollywood, or gold was found, there was a land of fertile, but dry, plains, deep deserts, fantastic mountains, and one of the largest surface earthquake faults in the world. A Native American tribe had blue eyes (!!). The Spanish were the first Europeans to claim the area. British interests also entered the area via the trappers and traders. Russia claimed land to the North. And then.... you'll just have to read the book. There was one battle in which there was only one casualty- a panicked mule that spooked and ran off...
