This is the closest substitute for salt.There is no artificial after taste. Use it for seasoning before cooking and after I've used it for years but I couldn't find it in stores anymore I bought a multi pack .If you want to limit your sodium intake I recommend you try it

American food has way too little potassium, which studies say disrupts cardiac & other functions. NuSalt helps to balance for greater health. We mix it with sodium salt but also use alone. Great stuff & easy.

Good product for those who nee potassium in their diet instead of salt. I would say it has a stronger taste than salt. Use little at a time.

I've been cleaning up my diet and have moved completely to a plant-based way of eating. My last hold-out for eating more healthfully was salt. I haven't eliminated it completely, but I've cut back significantly. Admittedly, this product (in my opinion) tastes a bit metallic, but I'm sticking with it because I eat way too much salt. I made a mixture of 1/2 calcium chloride (this product, Nu-Salt) and half sodium chloride (regular table salt). Honestly I don't notice a difference now and I feel good about having decreased my salt intake. I'll probably gradually increase the ratio of Nu-Salt to regular salt, but for now I'm sticking to this ratio. Give it a chance. You probably won't like it at first, but like anything else, your taste will adjust. Best wishes!

I like to use this in addition to regular salt to keep my sodium intake low. Used alone it has a slight bitter aftertaste. Surprisingly when combined about 50-50 with regular table salt, the bitter taste is not noticeable.Lite salt that is 50-50 table salt and potassium chloride is a better value but if you want to just add a little extra on the side, I find this useful and really helps me reduce my sodium intake.

I was very pleased with the salt level of the NuSalt. This isn't some wimpy replacement , it actually works better than the real thing. Our doctor informs us that the extra potassium is actually a bonus.
