Pure HANDKNIT Patchwork Car Jacket

What a score! This is becoming quickly an unusual but stunning piece I grab for dress up or to wear with jeans. I normally wear a size 14-16, but for some reason the medium works just fine around this aging pear-shaped form I have acquired. I hesitated to buy it (the words "rainbow Speckle" sounded a bit flashy for me), but it is a favorite now. Medium brown hair, dark brown eyes, fair skin, I usually wear cool colors. This is a bit of everything and is really stunning. I suspect it will snap if your cut corners too closely or take a notion to pull a weed or two as you walk to the car--just be careful, and wear it often.

Wanted this sweater jacket to work. Love the color (Luxe Emerald), and it actually fits me well (ordered Small, and I am 5'4" and 107 lbs.), but two issues are against it. The button holes are too small for the large buttons so the buttons are pretty much useless--I would have to pull the sweater over my head to get it on and off quickly. Also, the pockets have bulges that look like someone's fists have forced them out of shape.

Was huge! Had to return

I loved the way this looked, for the most part, despite the loose fit, which the picture represents well. There were a couple of serious problems with my sweater that will force me to return it. One is in the design of the collar. Because each size is patterned with a very different knitting style, what could have been the imaginative touch I expect from Pure Hand Knit is instead a design fail, since one side curls up on itself like a scroll while the other lies pleasingly flat. The second problem was a defect that was clearly detected but allowed to pass. The knit under one button was frayed, and the fraying arrested by a few knots. The result was an unsightly patch, covered by the button, granted, but starting to fray further already so the sweater would continue to deteriorate from that spot. Also, given the knotting, the buttonhole has been made very small so this button is permanently fastened. This kind of defect should not have passed inspection and is not the quality I expect from this brand.
