An enjoyable story, with some great reflections on people.
This was a mostly enjoyable book, although there are some rather unpleasant characters that are woven into the story. At times I was frustrated with Nick for not recognising what Tara was like and realising what she was doing, he did redeem himself in the end and I did feel a bit sorry for him at times. I did like the way he encouraged Maddie to pursue her dreams.Maddie is a great but insecure character, first introduced The Little Paris Patisserie which features Nick's sister and best friend. She accepts a last minute position to crew for a holiday party but seems to come into her own. Her interest in Croatian cooking added interest. The way she responds after she meets Bill was wonderful, she is down to earth and you can't help but want the best for her. There are some great supporting characters that add interest, and add to other strands of the story. We don't see much of Gloria, but she made me smile.I don't want to say too much to give the plot away, but while the ending came about suddenly with it jumping to the epilogue it was an enjoyable book that reminded why I enjoyed the other books in the series and made me want to reread them and read the others in the series.

Another Wonderful Romance from Julie Caplin!
I love this series, and have been meaning to read this particular book for, ahem a while, so 20 Books of Summer has been the perfect time. As soon as I started reading I knew I was in for a real treat, especially as I was reading in the garden in this beautiful summery weather.I loved the setting so much, it really made me want to visit Croatia, but definitely not crewing on a luxury yacht with a group of entitled wealthy couples! I would not fit in and definitely wouldn’t be able to hold my tongue in certain situations, probably a bit like Maddie who found it hard to keep quiet especially when Nick was around. As you can probably tell I wasn’t keen on the other guests although as the book progressed I did warm to them a bit more.As it’s a romance I was expecting the plot to head in a certain way, which it did, but there were some really good twists as well that I wasn’t expecting, much better twists than I anticipated making the story even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a wonderful romantic summer read I highly recommend this one. In fact I recommend the whole Romantic Escapes series!

A light feel-good romance...
A light feel-good romance with some solid research chops regarding locations and locals. It's very very easy for authors to get this so badly wrong that the book becomes unreadable, however Julie Caplin has done her homework, probably in many instances in person, if not in all instances! This book lets some of the characters she no doubt met in her past PR life shine through. (Tara and Cody).Romance novels aren't my normal reading matter, however this series popped up in my recommendations for some reason, and some literary romantic escapism was just the ticket.I've bought and read the whole series, they're each a quick read, but none the worse for that.Sweet romances, and yes, girl gets boy every time, in the end, but you knew that anyway - it's the getting there that's the fun isn't it?Nicely written, with a good command of English grammar and spelling; just a few proof-reading glitches. If you want something light, enjoyable, that will take you away to the Dalmatian coast whilst dreaming of making changes to the everyday, then this book, and indeed this whole "Romantic Escapes" series by Julie Caplin is recommended.

Another wonderfully described setting from Julie
I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I have all the others in the series so far. I always look forward to seeing where Julie is going to take us next. The places and scenery are beautifully described and always a great story. I try and read them when I am away myself to add to the enjoyment of reading them. Higly recommend all the books in this wonderful series.

Romance que entrega o que esperava. Gostei principalmente pois, tem uma certa continuação de outros títulos da autora.

Great for a light read on a rainy day!
So I devoured this book in one sitting! Loved the theme, location, and loved the heroine's attitude for life. She had appeared before in the Paris book in this series as a minor character, and I had been hoping that Ms. Caplin would give her a book of her own. She had spunk and charm, and really grew as the book moved along. Loved Nick, and how it all ties together with book three.Ms. Caplin, your books are a fun read on rainy days or during the snowy season where I live. Thanks, and can't wait for the next one!

Sexy, funny, and swoon-worthy descriptions
Julie Caplin clearly loves to travel as her descriptions of the Dalmatian coast made me feel like I've been - even though it is still on my bucket list. I loved her characters - such an interesting cast - and her approach to the narrative through the eyes of both the heroine and the hero. It was great fun to read their different perspectives.Sexy, funny, and swoon-worthy descriptions - highly recommended.

Loved the scenery
The tour of Croatia and the islands paints vivid pictures. Enjoyed a few unexpected plot detours. Good read for summer.
