This is a pretty piece and seems well made, but it it too flat. I have relatively thin hair so I figured this would work well for me. The picture shows a curved piece that bends around the pony tail. Mine does not do that. It is almost totally flat so it's very difficult to put the pin it. I tried to bend it but was afraid too much pressure will crack it. At this point I can't use it so I'll give that another try. Either I get a piece that works or I don't.....Update:I found a way for this to work, just had to put it on just above my ponytail, enough to cover the rubber band I used. I had it on for a couple of hours, ran some errands, etc. I got back in my car for my next foray into errand land, and felt something touching my neck. It was the barrette. The stick had come out of one side, leaving the barrette hanging. I am so glad I was in my car and noticed it, otherwise I am sure it would have fallen totally off and I would have been unaware. I am not happy with this purchase because it failed on me. It was inexpensive, so I won't bother trying to return it. I'll stick it with another metal barrette of the same ilk with the same problem in my little bag of stuff I won't use again. One day I might find a taker for them because I just hate to throw stuff away. I am disappointed. The picture is so misleading. If it had more of a curve I would be able to put it directly over the rubber band that forms my ponytail. Pretty piece, pretty worthless.

The pin is pretty by itself but I received it already broken. And there is no way to return it since it is nonreturnable item.

I was so looking forward to this pin to cover my pony tail band. It would have worked beautifully had the metal not snapped shortly after I first put it in my hair. I have thin elderly hair so I know it wasn't the amount of hair I was trying to hold back. It may have broken initially during shipping because it is curved and came in a plastic bag in a plastic mail envelope from Amazon, so it may have become smashed and finally snapped when I placed it in my hair. Either way it can no longer be used and I have yet to find a metal glue that will keep it together. Not worth returning.

It was very pretty but the pin kept falling out and it was lost after 2 wears. A shame because it was so pretty. They should put a silicone ring in the holes to keep the pin in place. Just a thought.
