Erica Wilson's Needlepoint: Based on the Collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Yet another lovely needlepoint book of designs for any neddlepointer to make lovely cushions etc for home or presents. Needlepointing is a good way calm the nerves, and just settle down with only a thought for the work in hand and the designs in this lovely book is a must for all needlepointers.

Book in excellent condition and a lovely book to have

This book was rather a disappointment - I purchased it based on good reviews but the designs in the book turned out very simplistic and lacking thorough work on colours and shading. This is no match to other tapestry books like Beth Russell's. Would not recommend...

This is a beautiful book. I’d like to make many of the canvases in this book. Don’t be intimidated by not having a pre-printed canvas. Just follow directions. Back before the era of high end, pre-printed canvases I began to needlepoint. If you needlepoint, you have an eye for detail.

I thought, hoped these designs would lend themselves to conversion to embroidery but though the designs are a wonderful selection of real works of art, they really are only suitable for needlepoint. My fault. I've embroidered a lot of Wilson designs but now it's only needlepoint that one can find. I was just hoping. A great book for a needlepointer!

Beautiful designs adapted from Metropolitan Museum in NYC. So excited to do the tobacco leaf pillow. Also the William Morris design looks wonderful.

I particularly like this book because it happens to contain information about and illustrate a needlepoint I am working on. It is more useful than the instructions included with the Erica Wilson kit that I had purchased from the Met. There are many beautiful projects included in the book but I think it would take considerable skill and patience to copy the designs onto canvas.Even if you do not actually make anything from the book, it is an enjoyable read.

I was interested in just one of the patterns... the others in the book are ok...But for the price it is good.
