I purchased these to replace the plastic bags that have now been banned. I've tried other bags that were entirely too small for two cat boxes. These are the same size, not some uncomfortable smaller version. I place it in a small trash can (like for bathrooms) to hold it in place, and it is big enough to go over the sides.The bags seem sturdy, though they do rip if not careful. I'm not sure how they do with the weight of clay litter; we use grass litter which is much lighter weight. However, I have loaded them up and they hold! Would definitely recommend.Can't speak on whether they're actually biodegradable to the extent they claim. Would still recommend. It's a softer plastic than grocery bags, so it's definitely a different type of plastic.

I'll never use a plastic bag again. These bags are so much better in all ways! Totally biodegradable, so good for the planet. Easier to use than plastic also: the material doesn't stick to itself, so the bags are easy to open. Very sturdy - I use mine for fruit & veggies at the market and for produce at Farmer's Market. I can use them over and over, and have never had one tear or come apart. Eventually I use them for kitty litter waste and again, never has one come apart. Plus, each has 2 cool little handles which make it easy to carry over your arm (eg at farmer's market), or to tie the bag shut (eg with kitty litter). Am trying to persuade my local markets to carry these.Do yourself a favor and get Dirt Bags - you will love them!

Great bags - I thought when I paid $28.95 a few months ago was expensive, but now almost $50 - that’s 50 cents a bag. That’s a bit crazy.

I have trash cans sized specifically for the plastic grocery bags that are now being banned. I agree that single-use (or double-use, in my case) plastics are bad... but I like my trash cans and it took me forever to find plastic bags that fit. I wanted bags that were compostable and these claim to do just that. They are thick enough that they can hold a week's worth of garbage and not break, no little holes in the bottom, and they fit my trash cans perfectly.

Love that it's biodegradable, but not as strong as a regular bag. A little expensive.

These are very high quality bags. My biggest fear was that they would start to dissolve if I put wet garbage in them, but that has not happened. They are strong and hold a lot of weight without ripping open. These bags are exactly the same size as those plastic bags that you used to get your groceries in before the city banned plastic bags. So they fit our garbage can perfectly. They are a little staticky so they are difficult to get open at first, especially if your fingers are dry in the winter. But I am really happy with this purchase.

Very thin and rip rather easily

We use these for our kitchen trash bin which is a 10qt bucket. The very first bag we pulled out had a split seam but every other bag has held up perfectly. Our kitchen trash is mainly organic matter (not set up for composting yet) and have had no problems with moisture comprising the bag. I like that these break down completely as opposed to other bags that break down to microplastics. Very happy to have found a replacement for the grocery bags we were using to line the bin. Also appreciate the very minimal packaging for shipment.
