I bought the skirt to wear to a big art and music festival I’ve been attending for decades and we camp there for five nights in primitive situation. This skirt was so comfortable and cool in the hot weather. I got so many compliments on it. I realize that the sequins are not that securely sewn on, but the thread didn’t break. If it does when I wear it again I will quickly tie it off, so I don’t lose all of them. But the colors are beautiful and the skirt feels very nice to wear. It has an elastic band, which could be a bit tight for one size fits all. But there is a decorative draw cord to make it more snug if one wants. I am very happy with my purchase.

This is a gorgeous handmade skirt from India. It is not a cheap printed on knock-off that you must beware of on Amazon. It has sewn on sequins and embroidery and bright, richly dyed fabric of beautiful color. I have owned many similar skirts and I love this one. Beware that they are very fragile and require hand washing and drying. And the colors do run when you wash them. The sequins are sometimes loose in some places, and the string that holds them in can be as as well but again, it’s hand sewn. I received many compliments wearing it, and just beware you have to be careful with it due to the fabric and design. If you are into this style, I would recommend.

Beautiful skirt but colors not as depicted. It does have orange and reds but also has dark black and blues mixed in. It was also a bit tighter than expected. I am about a size 12-14 in pants and it fit rather snug without much extra fabric along the bottom, but overall it was a decent skirt for the price and I would definitely buy again if different colors were available as depicted.

It looks like a very expensive skirt and both men and women have complimented me and how gorgeous it is. The picture doesn't no justice!

This is a fun skirt. The colors are wonderful and the dark navy/black tones down the overall appearance of color so it is not too much. The sequins are fun. It runs a little big. I have an hourglass shape and did not think this was flattering on me. It sort of just hangs there. The fabric is very soft and has no odor. The reason I took one star off is because of the thread on the inside of the skirt. There are many long threads going from one sequin area to the next. It would be extremely easy to rip one while getting dressed or just handling it. For me, over 50, it is a little too much to wear for anything other than a costume. If you are younger, you could totally pull it off.

I would have purchased this for a much higher price. (I have the multicolored skirt) I was concerned because of the sizing chart, but the XL fit my 38 inch waist just fine thanks to elastic waistband. I wear it for my 60’s band. Great with light tanks and sandals for summer gigs, but dark enough to wear with tights under it, boots and a tunic over for cooler months. TIP - I have worked with transferring the dye from Sari silks to eggs for a long time and because that is a characteristic of the fabric, my advice is - NEVER WASH THE FABRIC! Use Febreeze if you absolutely have to, but even hand washing in cold water will release a lot of dye and may muddy the colors. It may sound gross, but it will save your garment.

I received this yesterday, and I’m beyond disappointed. The description says that it fits up to a 40 inch waist. Completely untrue. Unstretched, the waist was only about 24 inches. It’s not very stretchy, you had to really pull on it to stretch it out more. I held it up against myself and used both hands to try to stretch it as much as I possibly could. I have a 40 inch waist and it has so little gift to it that it didn’t even come close to stretching across the front of my body, I wasn’t even going to try to put myself through attempting to try it on. It was returned today. Super disappointed, I thought the colors were really pretty and was looking forward to wearing this.
