Huapa Mini Hose Connector for CPAP Hose CPAP Accessories Resmed Air Nasal Masks

I like my AirMini, but just as others have noted, the ‘Darth Vader’ sounding noise that comes from the proprietary hose with the built in humidifier chamber is rather loud. I tried all kinds of modifications to quieten the sound but to no avail. I would often wake up myself from the ‘Vader’ sound, and my wife said she would rather listen to my snoring than my AirMini. When I saw the AirMini hose connector I was impressed. However, when I read some of the reviews I was discouraged from purchasing it. I finally decided to take a chance and purchase it. I can tell you that the connector fit just as snug as the original hose connector. I could not get it to pull out as others have stated. Just look at my picture with it supporting the weight of the AirMini. I did a few other things that solved the noise problem. I purchased a hose with the same diameter as the original hose with the universal ends. I also purchased a sleeve for the hose. I am currently using a ResMed Mirage FX and the sound problem has been resolved. If you are experiencing the same noise problems, I suggest the same solution.

This item has a potential but is missing important features. There is no slots like in the original and it does not have precise enough diameter. This causes distoriotion (and damage) to the blue seal on small dia connection of the AirMini, and because it must be forced and has no slots it never reaches the blue seal at the end of connector on the Airmini. It is a typical kluge, but it does do damage every time its connected, and it creates yet another source of noise but the distorted blue seal and lack of good seal. Very much overpriced. I'll keep it for now, but I ma afraid that being made out of rigid plexi (original is pliable) it shall break. The question is when.

I love the Resmed Airmini. It is well built, compact, and the power supply is also appropriately compact. BUT, the proprietary hose connection means you are 1) stuck with expensive hosing from ResMed, and 2) must suffer through the noisy humidifier exhaust port. This cleaver hose connector allows you to purchase generic air hoses, and if you can forgo the humidifier element, have a quieter sleep experience by connecting your mask to a generic hose. It is well worth the price. It arrived on time (thanks, PRIME), and fit as expected.

The connector does not fit well .you can pull it out of the CPAP with very little effort. I mean if you try to took the hose off the whole set comes out for the money they charge it's not worth it and still makes noise I put it together 5 different ways and noise still there. So l will send it back bad product

It fit well in my resmed mini im using my dreamweaver mask the same i use with my resmed S10, i have not issues of disconection, but the airmini is very noisy and I hear more noise now (isnt the hose connector to blame) but somehow the resmed airmini masks reduce this noise a little bit.

Like most people are saying, it’s a little loose. I’m not quite sure why they would go to all the trouble to make a custom part like this and then not make it fit perfectly, but that’s the game I guess when you’re doing after market mods. Some folks are putting a bit of soft thin packing foam under the clicky bits to make them stick out a little and that what’s I’ll try, too. For the money, though, I’d rather not have to modify it further.

I use this to connect a different manufacturer hose and mask to my Air Mini CPAP machine. The connection does not leak but seems a bit loose. The connector works.
