This paper has a solid white portion above the lines for drawing pictures, which seemed like a good idea to me. A child learning to write can draw and caption his/her pictures. My granddaughter is starting to draw letters and write her name independently (not tracing.) Just 4 months shy of her 4th birthday, she knows the upper case letters well, but is only recently learning the lower case. Bright as she is, I know she’s still too young for formal writing skills. I wanted her parents to have some lined paper on hand in case she expresses interest in writing neatly, like her Mommy did. And her Grandma. I don’t remember it, but my own Mother told me that my 1st grade teacher had to talk me out of using a ruler when I was learning to print letters on paper like this,The Pacon pads seemed to be the most economical choices the day I shopped, probably because I happened to catch them on the low end of their up and down price range. Today they’re $7.50, for only 40 sheets! When did paper become so expensive? Maybe it’s plain old profiteering? IOW, sellers cashing in while kids are learning at home because of Covid? I don’t think my school district would pay $7.50 for 40 sheets of paper, and neither would I. This tablet was requested by my daughter’s pre-K educator. Arrived sooner than expected, great quality paper, and perfect for anyone who is learning to write and draw. Going to order a second tablet to have to home for extra practice and fun.
