Failed within minutes of being used for the first time
Ordered it in January 2017, came in quickly, proceeded in placing it in my vehicle to be ready for a "rainy day", that day came today. Opened it up, went into the store, closed it without a problem. Came out of the store and upon opening it, it would not stay in the open position...had to manually hold the umbrella in the open position to keep from being drenched in the downpour. Repeatedly tried reopening thinking maybe I'm a I am missing something. Straight forward opening process, the umbrella I received was simply not functional. Went to Amazon.com to reach out to manufacturer and could not find any means of contacting mfg., so am posting this review in hopes they read them and will reach out to me so I can get a replacement and update this review with the latest...

Good looking, invaluably useful umbrella.
Great looking umbrella (somewhat fuzzy interior pattern but its an umbrella), with reflectors, inverse folding, and c-handle makes this great when carrying things, going in/out of cars and buildings, cross streets, or just general purpose. The only downside is it is only available in a standard size, an XL 65in gold umbrella would be very welcome. This is also one of the only inverted umbrellas I have seen with the traffic reflectors, and one of the best looking ones too! It can even stand up on its own which is convenient when you need to set it down for a moment. Overall a very great product.

Great product with one small oops....
Item arrived wrapped well in bubble wrap; however, design flaw has umbrella ends extending past the center knob. So far three metal tips have broken, two were broken in the packaging. Note to manufacturer: install a center nub that extends past umbrella edges when closed. Most will carry umbrella as a cane when not being used so crucial to have center nub fixed.Other than that it's a great product!

Awesome Umbrella, Awesome customer service
My GF had one of these and I was so impressed that I got one for my wife (they are very good friends btw =)) who also loves it. But after about 6 months my gf's umbrella broke at the handle. Just kind of twisted off the plastic. So I contacted Newbrella's and they asked me to take a photo. Not to prove that it broke, but so they could see how it broke and make changes to the design and then they promptly send her a replacement. Let me keep the broken one which we have given to some friends for a BurningMan project. Everyone who sees it says something remarkable about the beautiful design. Thanks Newbrella! You have a customer for life!!

Decent, but requires adjustments over time.
There is an issue with the internal coverage disconnecting from the external coverage requiring you to reattach the internal coverage on the posts. Other than that, great umbrella. Don't know how it will hold up over time, but seems good so far.

Poor quality. Great concept.
Concept is great but... I bought 2. The night sky and the cloud filled blue sky. It a large umbrella, a very nice size and the interior is cool. The reflective strip on the edge of one (night sky) is a nice touch at night. However, I live in Florida and it's the rainy season, so I have an umbrella with me all the time and it gets a lot of use. Unfortunately, neither umbrella held up to repeated use. They are not easy to open and they don't "catch" properly to stay open. I tried a couple of ways in case it was a matter of technique, but I end up holding the umbrella open from inside at the center. Very disappointed in the quality and not worth the money.

Great design is very functional
I LOVE this umbrella because it works better than the traditional design. It makes total sense.Pros: it is big enough to keep you dry in heavy rain, it is strong in windy situations, it is easy to use and keeps you dry while getting into a car when it's raining.Cons: It is heavy, it is difficult to lock into open mode, the end of one of the struts my first one came loose after 3 uses. Excellent customer service, I received a second umbrella promptly

Didn't have the butterfly ventilation in the description when i bought it, but that was actually a very welcome deviation. Worked amazingly after the first use (it got stuck inside out on one side, but when I pulled it into place it's been fine since). Always hated fighting the umbrella when trying to get into the car. Reflective material on the edge has also been a really nice and helpful feature for someone who walks a lot and in not so well lit areas. Don't have to worry about braking it if the wind flips it inside out. Still deciding whether or not I like the handle (it's nice, but I think I've learned to cope with a regular hook so well that it's odd). Not thrilled that it shipped from china, but that's my bad for not really looking at delivery estimates.
