Q: Is this a kids size? Can 5'8" /170lbs person use it?

Yes it is... I'm 5'6 / 170lbs and it was extremely to small. The seat it self is only 14 inches wide. It an excellent chair but for a child or someone 5ft and under and about 140lbs less.
