These poles are made just as well as any of the high end brands, including L3K1 (If you catch my drift.) They are very, very lightweight. Although I don't have a gram scale to weigh them, the weight seems far less than my aluminum poles, and the strength benefits of carbon are undeniably good. The grip on these is phenomenally sticky, and extends down 430mm (Roughly a third) of the pole. This makes for side hill traverses much more comfortable for those not wanting to slow down and adjust their pole length. I took off my ski straps immediately and will not review their straps. (Skiing without straps is safer, especially in avalanche and back-country terrain.) The basket on these is another well engineered idea. As you can see in my photos, the basket rotates- similar to cordura powder baskets. I'm excited to ski on these soon, but I don't expect to see my opinion change much! LOVE THESE THINGS, I would recommend even at retail price. If you can get a steal on these like I did, don't think twice, especially with Prime.
