Karter Scientific 206B2 Microscope Slides, Ground Edges, Frosted End, 90 Corners, 3x1 (Pack of 72)

This is my third package of the Karter Scientific slides. I'm not using them in the usual way, though. I'm in the process of building two 'Dexter' blood slide boxes and these are perfect. I wouldn't be surprised if these were the same ones used on the television series. Part of each slide is frosted glass, so that it can be easily labeled. Very clean, and the box comes in tight vacuum-sealed plastic. Very high quality overall.

Slides do not appear clean. They say "pre-cleaned" on box but once I tried to use them, they were not clean. Tried wiping them with a Kimwipe but did not solve the issue. I bought them for my Microbiology class because the ones they sell at school cost more than $20 for a pack of 100 slides. BUYER BEWARE! Really disappointed but will have to finish the box.Would like to add that my lab partner also purchased the same slides and he had the same issues. SO...its the product not just my order.

These came pre-cleaned and ready to go - I like the frosted sides for labeling and it is a good reminder as to which side is upright. I have been washing these slides and re-using them, and they dry without too much water spotting or scratches (but a lot of that is how I clean and dry them). That said, I have had slides that cloud up after a few washes and these are not that way. I would definitely repurchase.

Does their job

These slides came with white residue on both sides of every slide that needed to be thoroughly scrubbed off. Not great quality. Otherwise, the frosted portion worked well enough to write on, though even ethanol resistant marker could be mostly removed (a white frosted edge makes it easier to see even when it's faded), and they are adequate for basic imaging.

These slides have a designated place to label the slides so the marker will not rub off as easy
