Avigal Henna 100% Natural Hair Color RED 4 Oz.

I have used Avigal 2 times so far and like the results. My hair is thicker and shinier than when using traditional hair coloring. I would have given it 5 stars, except I have used one other product that gave a bit more red tint with the same amount of time. The value is good for the desired results.

i've been using this henna for 40 years. last year i couldn't get it. all sold out. i bought another kind, and i was not happy. the color (i use red) was weird, the texture was off and worst of all, it came with complicated instructions (leave it in the refrigerator overnight, etc.). this henna is easy to use--you can add what you like.i put in a few drops of black seed oil, mix with hot water and apply. voila, shiny, deep red, thicker hair. btw, great for covering patches of gray hair--gives it a multi-hued natural look. have been getting compliments from hair stylists for decades. enjoy.

I mixed this henna with indigo natural henna and I liked the result. But it could be better, I mean it doesnt dye as I would like.

I love this henna! I didn't mix it with any other colors, just the red. It came out just as expected--I have light brown, sandy hair with some golden tints here and there. The red gave it a nice auburn color.At first it looks a bit brassy and more orange but after 48 hours, it really sets and stays that color for several weeks. I'm a month post-use and there is still some red but it has faded. I will probably use it every 4 weeks instead of every 6 weeks.My hair has NEVER felt softer than it did the first couple days after using this. I would definitely recommend this product. I have shoulder length hair so I used 8 tbs. This whole can will probably last me 2 uses, so it's a great deal compared to artificial coloring.

I've been using this product for over 30 years and have always been impressed with the quality. I even used the neutral without any color to make shine and improve hair. I've used black, auburn, chestnut, brown and red. I recently learned that gray hair has to be double processed using red first then the color you want. Also learned how to combine colors so the henna doesn't look brassy. If hair is mostly gray, the red will make it look somewhat orange. Then redo and use brown and red mixed together and use coffee instead of water. There are all types of tricks. Comes with literature too.

To be fair, I didn't use this henna. I've been coloring my hair red with henna for two years now. I didn't want to make the drive to my favorite Indian market to get it so I ordered this. The can it came in was very very small, not nearly enough to cover my hair and it doesn't look like any henna I've ever used (mine is $2.99 and comes in a sealed bag with about 3x the amount). It was also much paler and had a kind of an additive smell. The only 'fix" for henna is cutting my hair so I didn't even try it.

I have jet black hair and I used this product to get red highlights. I used the product as described in the little pamphlet that comes with it but instead of keeping it on my head for an hour I kept it for over 3 hours. I also made the paste and kept it aside for 45 mins before applying to my hair. I have applied henna before and they are good for hair. This was no different. However henna does have a tendency of drying out the hair so I used ample olive oil in the paste and also a good conditioner after shampoo.Henna also leaves a little smell behind in your hair especially when wet but it goes away once the hair dries.Overall I recommend the product.
