Picture quality

Product gets excellent reviews, and it is a premium product. Firstly, battery life claims are ridiculous in context of normal use. I set one of the cameras up in a fairly narrow field of view and only to detect people (it's clever in that it can distinguish animals, cars, humans and other motion individually, and does this with a very high success rate). The battery lasted five days. I guess that it detected motion 10-12 times a day, so not excessive activity. I tried the same with a different camera and battery and had the same result. So work on the basis of adding a permanent wire, or the solar charger (at £60 !) if anything is likely to set the camera off more than once a day. I can only imagine their claim of 3 or 6 months battery life refers to the camera never being activated. The Arlo feels more cybersecure than most of the other options, especially through a separate hub and the company support is extremely good with comprehensive answers for most queries you have. However, I had an issue with pairing the cameras to the hub after I had swapped the re-chargeable battery which took hours to resolve. I followed all the online instructions, including factory re-setting the hub and cameras, without success. When I'd exhausted the manufacturers help list, I looked elsewhere and found a suggestion to re-install the app. Whilst the app was working fine with the other cameras installed, it was only when I deleted and re-installed it that it would pair with the other cameras. Quality of images is exceptionally good, motion detection is excellent and lots of parameters are user choices. App is generally straightforward to use. So lots of good things, but don't install the camera in an inaccessible place for 3 months without needing to charge the battery.

Great little camera

I have a couple of Arlo cameras. Pro2 1080. This 4K version is certainly not worth the extra purchase cost. The picture quality improvement barely noticeable; I hoped the upgrade would mean I could clearly read number plates from vehicles approximately 6 metres from my front door. Sadly no. The wide angle lens; for me, is not needed and gives a fish eye view of subjects.Also, with the 4K version Arlo require the buyer to subscribe monthly in order to view recorded content via the cloud, plus a higher monthly fee to view in 4K. Thanks to Amazon for their superb returns policy.

I've got multiple years using Arlo products, from the first Arlo cameras. I've upgraded to the Pro, Pro2 and now the Ultra cameras so I would consider myself as been somewhat experienced with these cameras and the systems.The Good:The small size of the cameras and the ease of setting them up means that even users with a very limited amount of knowledge can follow simple on screen/printed instructions to get up and running in no time at all.The app and website is user friendlyThe battery life isn't bad at all, you have multiple options to reduce image quality to increase battery life or have full image quality at the detriment to battery life. Not an issue if you've plugged it in of course. Motion detection and frequent recording will of course reduce battery life.Build quality is excellent, had multiple cameras outside in rain, wind and snow. All working without issue.The BAD- The mobile app seems to break more and more frequently with each release Arlo/Netgear roll out.- I had a brand new Ultra base unit that Arlo had to replace (after 4 months of me jumping through hoops to get them to believe that there was a problem with it). Problems included cameras not recording despite picking motion up. Recorded video cutting out after 3 seconds (when the video was set to record for 30 seconds, regardless of continued motion or not). Strange pink/green night vision recordings so you couldn't see anything of any use. Setting not getting applied to the cameras and settings changing on their own, such as cameras with audio disabled suddenly triggering on audio and recording audio.- The price - While the quality is good, I believe there are other systems out there that probably do just as good a job (or near enough) for a fraction of the cost - especially when you consider the unreliability people face with cameras/base units and the application.

Having set up the cameras, at first the signal between the cameras and the base unit wasn't great. But with a little rearanging, now all works perfect.

Great camera when used as part of a system, although expensive. Web interface is a little quirky and doesn't handle 4k that well. Hoping that Arlo will sort this when Flash becomes deprecated.

Product is prima maar was een overbodige aankoop, direct terug gestuurd maar ik wacht al weken op mijn terug betaling.

geht bei anderen Herstellern viellicht auch für weniger Geld - aber ob man da die gleiche Qualität erhält?habe allerdings immer wieder ein Problem mit der Basisstation, die recht häufig von alleine offline geht ...wir haben fünf Kameras um unsere Pferdeweide zu überwachen

Possiedo tutta la gamma Arlo, dalle Pro alla Go e ritengo la Ultra il prodotto qualitativamente più valido come definizione dell'immagine, sopratutto di notte con immagini ben definite e a colori.Da non trascurare che con un piano a pagamento si ha l'ulteriore possibilità di avere selezionate le notifiche a seconda che si tratti di persone/animali/auto o un semplice movimento.La combinazione ideale è l'agginta di un pannello solare x dimenticarsi della ricarica della batteria.AggiornamentoA distanza di tempo confermo la qualità del sistema Arlo, ma ho trovato spiacevole l'impossibilità di rinnovare il piano Arlo Smart 1 Year ad € 89 annui, perchè nel frattempo sono cambiate le offerte commerciali degli abbonamenti che sono mensili e a costi più elevati.Nelle faq su Amazon continua ad essere indicato che allo scadere dell'abbonamento gratis per il primo anno è possibile rinnovarlo ma non è vero!!

Produit exceptionnel. Très facile à installer, très bonne longévité des batteries, renforcées avec un chargeur solaire. Super qualité des images et bonne détection des événements. Je recommande. Plus cher que certains produits mais tellement supérieur en qualité !
