Earth and Sky: Originally created for an art exhibit titled, "From Earth to Sky," this designer blend is bold, smokey, spicy, rich and hearty...using only Certified Organic and Certified Fair Trade Coffees. The primary coffee in the blend is Guatemala La Laguna from the Fraijanes region. Roberto Orantes is a meticulous (to say the very least!) coffee farmer. His farm is a half moon shape encircling a lagoon at the base of a volcano. The lagoon spring feeds the farm with a plentiful supply of crystal pure water, and the volcanic soil is a highly prized, iron-enriched composition. The result is an ideal combination of nutrients for really wonderful coffee. From there Roberto nurtures the coffee through intensely monitored wet milling, small lot drying, and resting procedures, which ensures purity in the La Laguna coffee. When blended with our favorite Central American and Indonesian dark roasted coffees, "Earth and Sky" has become our most popular blend.
