The picture was deceiving, I expected a heavier fabric and construction. This is a very this loose knit sweater, not a coat like costume piece as projected.

I made the mistake of buying this (I am chubby too) and this is way too short, even as I stand at 5'4.

I absolutely love this. I get so many compliments that I have two other family members wanting to purchase! PS I stand 5’8 and wear a 14. The xl fit perfect. Great length!

A lot of people tell you to size UP when ordering something from China or other foreign countries. I ordered a renaissance style dress from a totally different company a while ago for $25...went with a 2XL and I couldn’t even pull it past my bust. Made me feel super insecure and wondered if I was REALLY that large—ended up ripping it trying to fit in and just repurposed it. This particular piece, on the other hand, is the total opposite. It’s VERY stretchy, so I would recommend ordering it in either your regular size or possibly one size up. I got the 3XL; clothes from the popular stores here in Canada/the USA, I fall somewhere between an average Large and a typical XL. The fabric on this unit WILL stretch quite easily, even if you order one or two sizes too small. Luckily I have good enough sewing skills that I was able to take it in and tighten it up, just enough that it works perfectly for semi-regular wear. Other than the fact that I didn’t expect the 3XL to fit exactly like a CAN/US 3XL, it’s amazing. Looks exactly like the picture, stretchy, great price and well made enough that it won’t come apart when stretched out. If you’re looking for something simple that will add some extra flair for a fantasy-type cosplay or even if you’re just trying to achieve a bohemian style for your next festival, this is a great choice. Shipping was much faster than amazon predicted or I personally expected.Again, just remember to order this as if you were ordering something in an American/Canadian size :)
