The board is supposed to be Neem board and probably it has been dipped in Neem oil. The problem is its very difficult to clean off the neem oil and its smell from the board. One has to wash it quite a few times before it can be used. I suggest the manufacturers to simply apply neem oil on the board instead of dipping it so that the residual neem oil on surface can be cleaned easily. Dimensions of the board are fine. Its a good sized chopping board
