bqw 3 Blade Cartridge Razor Stainless Steel Handle for Mach3 Cartridges with Razor Stand

I bought this when the only review was the one-star one saying that it was slippery like a wet noodle. I figured, what the heck, a small investment in my never-ending search for the perfect shave. And, it turns out that I like it a lot. The supplied blade is junk -- don't even try to use it, replace it with a Mach 3 right away -- but the weight and length of the handle is what I've been looking for. The big ball at the end sits in the palm of your hand and gives you a very nice sense of control that, combined with the inward curve of the handle, makes for an effective and efficient downstroke. It's definitely harder to grip and orient if you're trying to go up and against the grain, but I've found that I'm actually getting comfortable skipping that step entirely and staying pretty happy with the results -- which are achieved much quicker.On initial viewing, the stand was disappointing, with it holding the handle through a easily removable sponge insert that needed re-aligning. And yet....it's working well now (no mold) and I'm finding I now like it.I also have the electric Gillette Pro Fusion, but I find myself more and more using this handle with the cheaper, narrower, Mach 3 blades. Definitely recommend combining with Cremo shave cream if you have never tried it.One star deducted because (a) the handle is slippery if you don't position the ball in your palm and (b) the included blade is junk (mine was broken) -- they shouldn't even bother.

Impressed with the look and weight of this elegant black metal razor. Curved end sits nicely in the weighted base. Handle is longer than standard Mach3 handle and fits nicely in my hand. Replaced the supplied dull blade with my Mach3 blades.

Nice heavy feel. I suggest it be used in your bathroom so you can dry your hands on a towel before picking it up to shave. Also after use dry it off before setting in the base. This handles adds a little bit of luxury to your shave. I bought this to use with mach 3 blades, not concerned about the blade that came with it.

Once the handle gets wet, it's like trying to hold on to a wet noodle.
