Helpful for my child with ADHD!
I recently ordered this cushion for my 6 year old son who was recently diagnosed with ADHD. He loves using it and so far, the few times we have used it, he was able to stay seated through mealtimes and during homework time because he didn't have to get out of his seat to move around....he can just wiggle back and forth! Typically, homework time is extremely frustrating and lengthy......for us it takes 1-2 hours to get through 1-3 pages (and he is in Kindergarten!). However, the evening we used the cushion, he finished 3 pages in about 15-20 minutes! In addition to providing extra sensory stimulation, I believe this cushion may also help my little guy build some muscle which is a plus because he is small. I have seen these cushions used in the classroom as well and I believe they are effective in helping students of all ages. The cushion itself seems durable. Since we used it during homework time, my son actually tried poking it with his pencil and it broke his lead instead of popping the cushion! (Thank goodness!) It came with a little pump and was easy to inflate.I even had to let a little air out and that was easy to do as well. The price was reasonable and the cushion arrived very quickly and was packaged well. Hope this review was helpful!

Balance Boost!!
Product is excellent but better instructions needed for inflation pump. Needle is delicate, broke on first attempt.

You may have some challenges initially. Keep working with the it and you will get stronger
The wobble cushion is designed for balance training, core strengthening, and posture improvement. It comes with an air pump allowing you to adjust the firmness. I found that initially it was too firm and I had a very difficult time keeping my balance. Letting our some of the air helped making it possible for me to balance on it. It may take some time for beginners to learn how to use it. Overall, I like it.

Helps kids that cant stay in a seat, stay in a seat
I am an administrator in an elementary school setting. We are always looking for new ideas to help kids that have problems sitting still in the classroom. Some kids simply can't sit in a seat for long periods of time and have to be able to move. It is so much easier to allow kids a form of movement in their chairs versus providing punishment for, "refuses to remain seated." These cushions are very effective for my school and many of our students. Yes, all of the students will want to try them out at one point or another, but honestly students that do not have issues with staying seated, lose interest very fast. On the other side, students that need to move never tire of these cushions. These cushions are made of a very thick rubbery material. They are not going to burst very easily and they do not take much inflation to get to proper fill. On one side of the cushion there are small nubs about a mm in length. On the other side, there are longer nubs that resemble the industrial rubber floor mats that you wipe your feet on. It was very nice that they included a hand pump and a needle with each cushion.I did not receive any type of discount, compensation, or products for writing this honest review. I think this product performs very well and want to pass the information along to others. Hopefully, other people will discover an effective way to help some students that truly need products like this to make it through a long seated day at school. Small, small... and some smell
This is a way too small for a tall man to use in an office chair. In contrast, Gaiam made one that is 16 inches across, but the chemical odor was unbearable and I returned it. This one has a different more petroleum odor, and is much less obnoxious than the other. Days later, now the smell is less strong. I think this odor will fade as it airs out over time. It smells similar to an iPad case that I also purchased from Amazon. I think the odor just becomes concentrated against the product as it off-gasses under a plastic seal while the product is waiting to be purchased. Overall, I hate chemical smells and I think it can be a potential health concern in some cases. In this case I am not very concerned. If this one airs out enough then I think it would okay for occasional play/exercise use by me or my kids. At least until something comes along that better aligns with my natural values, but then again it is hard to find a balance cushion for office chair use in nature :)

Simple concept well executed!
I had an Altus disk previously. It seems to be discontinued. Conceptually, they appear the same, so here goes. After I broke my ankle I was very aggressive in trying to get ready for the following ski season. Phys. Therapy used a disk and a BOSU ball, and a few other apparati. I got the Altus disk and used it happily for six years. Grandchildren - those taking ballet and gymnastics and karate - all used it to good advantage: for balance, for strength, for fun. Then an elderly relative broke her ankle; same identical break/s I had: distal end of the long bones in the leg. So I gave her my disk and bought this one. It seems functionally identical but perhaps the diameter is a bit larger. No matter. Until the replacement arrived, the kids missed having it around, I missed the occasion walk-by exercise, and ... anyhow, the new one got here. I noticed some review comments addressed to sitting on it.I have done so: I keep it on a kitchen chair. It forces (gently encourages?!) improved posture. It is not a cure-all, but it will become my gift of choice for friends whose circumstances suggest it would be a good idea. All in all, very pleased. Now, if it blows up in a week or a month, I will return to update this review. But I have thus far had no problem with the inflation pump, the needle, or the disk itself. It is a simple concept well executed. What a concept! I wish these sorts of things were made domestically, but having everything seems not realistic.

I was surprised at how effective this product is.
When this product first arrived, I looked at it and was very skeptical that it would help in anyway. I was wrong. It is amazing. When I’m using this cushion, I am constantly shifting my weight. I’m told that that constant shifting of my weight improves core Balance muscles. That may be true however the cushion is very comfortable and relieves any stress of sitting.
