Go the Valkyries!
I do love Norse mythology so I may be a little bit bias.... but I also enjoy Mandy M Roth's books and this one is no exception. Yes it has suspense, and not one but many gorgeous menfolk/supernatural beings some bad some good some really yummy, and a woman/Valkyrie that is trying to piece together who and what is going on in her life. I must admit that it got somewhat confusing at times but as I mentioned I am rather found of the Norse mythology angle of this book, so I persevere and was left at the end thinking OK...... when is the next book in this so I can see what happens? Yes I did enjoy, do I wish the ending wasn't rushed and that I wasn't left wanting..... yes, but as long as there is a follow up book I'm good with that, but if not then why write a book that leaves the heroine without her best friend or even a bed mate! I'll sit on the fence here and wait to see if there is another to follow up so 3 1/2 stars for me for the moment.

Valkyries Enough Said!
I loved this book it was an amazing read and I loved the character of Valerie she was awesome. I loved the three male characters of Kerr, Luche, and Gregory they complemented Valerie perfectly. I have always loved the idea of Valkyries and this book made me love them even more. I cannot wait to read more about these characters because something tells me they have so much more to tell.

Uggh...
Too many males chasing the main female around for my taste. I like this author and enjoyed other books by her, but not this one.The heroine had men being tossed at her left and right! She's got amnesia so all she remembers is the past five years and she's got an ex fiance that she was suppose to marry that's "stalking" her that the author never gets around to explaining why he's an ex. Then there's her doctor that she hooks up with. AND, AND I kid you not...FIVE MORE DUDES that either want/try/or have slept with her.I'm telling you...EVERYWHERE and angst galore. Almost Anita-ish. UUUUGGGGHHH! I've read others by this author and didn't get the impression of LKH playing some sick prank by writing under a pen name to trick me into reading more of her garbage before.

Not what I am used to reading from Mandy M Roth
This book was very slow to develop and didn't have the action or romance I am used to reading from Mandy M Roth. There was no happy ending and everyone that you learn to like is killed. It was a slow read and not very entertaining.

Valkyre by Mandy Roth
I truly enjoyed the two short stories contained in the book. The intro of a new immortal to the vampire, werewolf, witch arena was very interesting. Liked the book hope she writes another to continue as a series.

Not easy to follow
I really like Mandy Roth's books but this one was hard to follow. It did not capture my attention as her other books have and I wouldn't recommend it solely on the basis of liking her other books. If there is a "free preview" I would use that or use the "Sample Chapters" to try before you buy.

Karma is the Ultimate- VAL is awesome!!
***A gifted copy was provided by the author for an honest review**The story starts out 5 years ago with the heroine waking up with not knowing who she is , in a hospital bed. This is what happened to Valerie Falkyr after being found totally battered. She ends up making friends with the nurse who took care of her and the doctor on her case ends up her boyfriend/lover.Fast Forward 5 years—Valerie has moved on, never finding out much about her background since the attack on her. She has accepted she may never find out what happened or remember who is or was.Valerie finds out there is something not quite human about herself but she doesn’t want to admit it to her friends, afraid she will run them off. But come to find out, they know. Valerie doesn’t want to look too deep as to why they aren’t too curious about her “magic” or her background. She is just happy they aren’t running from her. Life is finally going right for her. But things are going to drastically change.A film company comes to town to make a film, and Valerie is face to face with sexy Italian & hot Scottish –they are both fighting over her. Not verbally, but literally. Memories start to trickle in and then come seeping in, haunting her.The author writes a great backdrop of a story, using a Norse storyline for a modern day romance story with an action/paranormal twist. Love how the story is written with the flashback from Valerie’s past with each man she was with. Do not want to give spoiler but just to say, WOW. Cant wait to read book twoMy rating: 4.8 stars ****.

The Valkyrie
OMG what a brilliant story, starts off normal where two friends are chatting about every day things, then all of a sudden your thrown into a battle with vampires, good verses evil .
