The Dream Dollhouse Do-It-Yourself Book by Julie Shelton is a great instructional on making Barbie-sized crafts for your Barbies. My granddaughter is at the age where she has fallen in love with all things Barbie, and because I thought it would be fun to make crafts with her that she could use during her play time, I began to search for anything with ideas on Barbie sized crafts. This book offers easy-to-follow instructions - so easy that even my four year old granddaughter can do it too.There are DIY crafts for multiple types of sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, shelves, televisions, kitchen cabinets, kitchen appliances, food, etc. I did a search on the internet and also on my personal favorite site, Pinterest, and also found a slew of DIY Barbie crafts - but the one thing that The Dream Dollhouse DIY offers that I didn't find on other sites is simplicity. Most of the parts needed are items you already have at home.Would I recommend The Dream Dollhouse Do-It-Yourself book? Absolutely, it is chocked full of crafts that someone who isn't used to making crafts could do and do it well.

This such a fun, cute book. It's not so much that I didn't know how to do much of this stuff already, but to have it all printed together with brightly colored illustrations makes a good reference. There were also lots of ideas that I'd never thought of or seen before. It's a great resource for fashion doll lovers, adult and children , to furnish a whole doll house with clever , attractive furniture and accessories. Depending on a child's age, of course, most projects are easy to do without adult help. And the finished results are nice enough to please adult crafters and decorators. . I already have several fashion doll houses, but this book inspires me to put together another using just the projects shown here.

My 8 year old granddaughter and I are really enjoying this easy to follow diy to make our own Barbie furniture. It's nice because most of the items can be found around the house.

Clever book with easy-to-understand directions. Much fun to create pictured items with our grandchildren. Excellent photo directions.

This book has many great ideas, especially for Barbie enthusiasts. Most products used for the projects can be easily found. I especially love the ideas for the lamps and some of the small details for Barbie’s house.

Simple, fun ways to make furniture and accessories for fashion dolls.I wish there were more step by step illustrations on how to make the items, but the written directions should suffice, as long as you aren't a visual person like myself. Worth buying and making memories with your littles.

This book has been a great success for my daughter. She instantly wanted to make one of the sofa projects. The materials were cheap and easy to obtain and the instructions were clear and easy for a child to follow, which is not always the case with such books. I really like the way the projects use the simple household items that would usually be discarded and we are now enjoying collecting materials to upcycle. The results look great, and she really enjoyed showing it off to her friends and family. We will be making items and giving them as gifts to younger children, which she feels really good about.This is a great gift for kids who are getting or are too big for dolls, but who enjoy creating and making things.

What a fun book! Lots of DIY ideas for furniture and accessories for your 11.5" doll's dream home. Once you have the ideas, you start to look at things at the craft store and around the house in a different way.

THIS WAS A BIT DISSAPOINTING. ITS A VERY THIN BOOK FOR £10. I WOULD SAY ITS WORTH £5. MOST OF THE CONTENTS YOU CAN FIND ON THE INTERNET FOR FREE. I WAS EXPECTING MUCH MORE FOR MY £££.

I was puzzled on what to put in my second hand dolls house and everything online was so complicated, I searched dolls house craft and it came up with this lovely book. So many stress free, budget friendly ideas which for once come out as good as the look in the pictures. I would recommend this book for all ages even for children as they can do it with their guardians in the holidays or weekends. Absolutely amazing

Loads of good ideas and interesting projects. But I found the pictures lacking. Images could have easily been page size or at least big enough to see what the author was doing. The text describing how-to would have benefited greatly from more step by step images .The book is well worth the read just for all the unique ideas of recycling everyday items into doll furniture - many I would never have thought of but again, larger more frequent images would have been helpful.

This book is super cute and so many ideas. The instructions could be a bit clearer in some cases and my 9 year old needed some help but we both love it. I looked everywhere and couldn’t find a book like this.
