It works but don't expect miracles
If you can just buy a longer drill bit that is by FAR a better option. If you already have the longest bit you can find, and only need like another couple inches on one or two holes, you may be in luck!You can use this as an SDS-plus bit extension. You will want to shim inside the barrel (does not fit will) with thin metal. Put the set screws in with threadlocker. Then do your very best to hold the joint between the extension and bit stable when drilling.You might just get it to work. It did for me.

It works…for a while. Then the set screws fall out or strip out. Lasted for 7 hole in my use - needed 12. Tossing it out. Someone else said get the Milwaukee extension that doesn’t use set screws. At least they could toss in a couple of extra screws??? Meh…

Poor quality steel; don't buy this tool!
I bought this tool because I needed an extension for the 2" wide chisel bit I'm using to remove the remaining deep concrete from an existing post hole. This tool has two set screws, one of which required a lot of force to mate with the bit SDS shank; (the hole wasn't threaded properly). After only one hole the set screws were damaged making the extension useless. I elected to hire a professional welder to weld the extension to the bit. The weld came out very nice. However, again after only one hole the extension broke clean off where the shank narrows down and the SDS slots start. This indicates the extension is poorly made and was very weak. This has rendered both the bit and the extension useless. I can't even return the extension because it has been modified!Save yourself and lot of time and frustration; buy a Milwaukee 12" SDS bit extension which has an SDS shank on one end and a narrow SDS chuck on the other end. It is more expensive, but is a much higher quality tool.

Great idea but disappointing
I was able to get one hole drilled before the set screws stripped out. Tried to get replacement screws at the local box store but all replacements stripped out immediately. This does not seem to fit the shaft of the arbor very well at all. Seems much too large.

Great tool
Exactly as advertised, works well, good build quality. This is my first time trying this brand but, I would definitely purchase more MEGABIT products in the future.

Comes in handy while drilling holes.
Works like a charm. Wish it had quick connect chuck vs set screws. But I knew that before I bought.
