Loe being able to get these on line
These delicious asian clear noodles were a staple when I lived in Colorado and Hawaii. Now back in my mainland home the nearest asian market is 45 miles away and hit or miss as to whether you get the right noodle. Not all of them are completely clear upon cooking some are cloudy and the taste and texture are not the same. I will admit to these being very pricy compared to what you could buy them for at the local market and for that reason when I am close to one I stock up. In the mean time I'm very thankful these are available through Amazon!

noodles made out of beans, WHO KNEW!
I live for foreign cuisines. I especially love Thai food. Vermicelli made from mung beans was a huge surprise, aka "Glass Noodles". I found a recipe online for Glass Noodle Soup. Added some of my own ingredients I love with Asian cuisine, and really enjoyed it. The package of dried noodle little bundles of 6, I thought was reasonable for the price. Not sure if you could find a similar product at an Asian market. I can't get out on my own, so I shop online, with Amazon.com.I soaked one bundle in very hot water, then added them to my wok of stir-fried veggies and meat, added the chicken stock. I love it when I get things right. One bundle for me was more than enough with some left over to reheat later. I'm gonna buy some more so I can make it again when I feel like Thai food.Would be nice if they included directions to prepare them to eat, in English. But that was in the recipe I found online.

Deceptive advertising, poor quality, and expensive!
I really want to give this product zero or negative stairs. Read the 1 star reviews.for accuracy You only get 1 package not 8. Amazon should review these posts and correct the error. It turns out that these bean threads are actually 76c cents an ounce. These beans threads are also mushy and not good quality. I will go back to Saifun that I have been buying for years. Don't let amazon con you into a cheap price like i was. Buyer beware!

Good in Everything
I gave flavor 3 stars because they're not really supposed to taste like anything. These are ice noodles meant to be served with sauce or in soups and for that, they are really good. They cook really quickly too.

Glass Noodles embrace and enhance the flavor of the foods you cook them with!
I was pleased to be able to find the glass noodles online. I usually have to go to an Asian store to find them. I grew up eating and cooking with them in a Filipino dish we call “Sotanghon”. Soak noodles in water for 20 minutes, or until soft. Sauté onions, ginger, and garlic with shrimp or chicken. When noodles are soft, cut them into shorter strands and add to the pan of cooked food, along with 2-3 cups of chicken broth or water, enough to allow the noodles to expand and soak up the liquid. Add shredded cabbage and any other favorite vegetables. Add soy sauce or sea salt to taste. Top off with paprika and freshly chopped green onions. A Delicious and Nutritious meal that goes down smooth and easy.

They are green bean noodles. Not mung bean noodles.
These noodles taste good and soften up well, however I was looking for mung bean cellophane noodles. These are green bean cellophane noodles, so the texture is a lot different. The pack is about the size I would expect for the price.
