Tala Silicone Bowl Scraper

I opted for a silicone scraper to make it easier to scrape dough out of my bowls, but this has a big metal insert, meaning that only about 1cm around the edge is actually flexible and doesn’t make it much easier to scrape around a bowl. You can see the outline in my photo, and I’m pressing down with my finger on the edge but it’s barely bending. Low price and decent material, I just wish that it was more flexible as that’s what you would expect from a silicone product, I can’t really use it for the purpose I wanted.

I've been using "scrapers" in my work since the '80s and these are the best so far. Particularly like good rigidity (there's a metal plate inside) and the wide choice of curve radius - generally can find an edge that matches the pot being scraped. Robust and easy to clean, except that sonetimes food gets stuck in the 'step' around the exposed metal. I just need to find a straight edged scraper that's as good.

I wanted something to scrape very hydrated bread dough out of the mixing bowl; this began to fall apart after I had used it just twice. The silicon coating came off the metal in pieces, rendering it useless. Not sturdy enough for the job.

Would have liked these better if they were a bit more bendable, they are stainless steel inside and wrapped with silicone, liked them to be in Red as per photo but the ones sent to me were a beige colour, will keep them but cannot see them being used much.

Bought this on a lark, but it works really well for getting to the bits the kenwood whisk/beater can't quite reach. Nice and solid!

When ours arrived it was grey unlike in the picture - not that it matters. The hole for holding it is a bit "rough" but again its fine.

Love this product. Makes handling bread dough much easier as the dough does not stick to the silicone (well, not much anyway!) Easy to clean.
