Accelerate from Frozen to Competency
This book gives you an outline of the editing process, decisions you need to make when editing, and key considerations during the process based on when your video will be viewed. I purchased this book to get a better understanding of the editing process, as I was overwhelmed by how to even get started. Aaron walks through the generic steps from getting organized before starting to publishing the final product, sharing practical considerations and recommendations based on his experience. This is a fast read and well work it.

Excellent resource for new or experienced video editors!
I'm a filmmaker who has taken up editing recently and this book is invaluable. As a self taught editor, I'll be using this book as a guide for all my future projects. It offers great explanations, tips and shows the step by step process of how to edit. The pictures taken right out of the video editing software are also extremely helpful. This is a great guide for filmmakers or new editors who are learning how to edit and can't afford expensive Adobe Premiere Pro classes. It's an excellent resource and I highly recommend it whether you're a novice or experienced video editor.

The book was helpful to me from start to finish.
This book gave me a quick overview of the video editing process. More importantly, I am trying to keep my costs down so the recommendations the author gives regarding which editing software available free or at very low cost were extremely valuable. The author also explains clearly many common and not-so-common editing techniques that I think will give my videos a professional appearance.

It uses simple language and is packed with many helpful images to help you get your mind around many editing concepts. This should be required reading in every 101 editing class. Pick it up today.

This is a great resource for when I dip in to video work
This is a great resource for when I dip in to video work. I deal with other Adobe still imaging products, and this helps me with all the things I don’t know about working with video. It really breaks down editing tools in an easy step-by step way with great visuals. There’s a lot here for not a high spend.

A booklet length YouTube video.
Everything that a basic YouTube tutorial could teach you in under an hour expanded to a short book length with an annoyingly strange horizontal size and giant font. The author’s tone might be pleasingly casual to some but it was not to my liking, much too informal “bro.”

Good tips for beginners
There’s a lot of useful info for beginners. I’ve been editing as a hobby for many years and knew most of this already but it validated the knowledge I did have. It’s a quick read and worth buying if you’re new.

Good book.
A nice, friendly and informative look at the basics of video editing. I particularly liked the author's style of talking to the reader like a friend.
