Lazy person wasn't going to review.....
The company sent an email asking for a review. But, it's just Xylitol, wrong. I really don't care that it is birch and not corn. I don't want China chemicals. Yes if it were corn it would be GMO but I am realistic. Corn is more environmental friendly. After spending the morning looking for the best deal I got tired of the subterfuge. All the sellers and manufactures hiding where the materials are sourced and what they are made of, birch or corn. So this product appears to me the most honest.Xylitol is over the top interesting. It has lots of benefits that require too much space to list it all. It gave me stinky gas and diarrhea, and I am back for more. The lab rats are doing great on this stuff. You have to start small and build up. I am on keto to change my gut bacteria and xylitol will also do that. It's not as sweet as sugar, it's expensive, unique and worth the effort to research. Not many people are doing the research, be different, be informed.

Updated review following spikes in blood sugar
Update: Although it tastes much better than expected (even my husband likes it), and I like how it is a “natural” sweetener with no fillers, no corn, and is non-gmo, I may not be able to continue use because it spikes my blood sugar. It’s not suppose to, but after higher glucose test numbers, I conducted a controlled test run the next day and to my disappointment it indeed spiked my blood sugar. It spiked roughly half that of what real sugar would have. Just remember that it’s not calorie-free/carb-free, and it may spike your blood sugar and trigger an insulin response.

Birch Xylitol cured my dental problems!
Great product! I have used birch derived Xylitol for many years, initially to prevent cavities, which it is superb at! I had lots of dental problems and got a book called Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye which recommended xylitol to help prevent cavities. It was actually life changing for me. Following the recommendations of the book which included xylitol and a few other things, I cannot remember the last time I had a cavity.I actually tried some xylitol I bought at a local grocery store and I broke out in hives. My friend had the same reaction. It seems not all xylitol is made from birch, although xylitol was originally derived from birch. I only buy birch derived xylitol now due to my problems with non birch based xylitol and also due to taste! This birch based xylitol is WAY better than the other type. So delicious definitely worth spending the small amount more to get birch based xylitol. This product is reasonably priced and I highly recomend it.

Good product, fair price, BEWARE OF IMITATIONS
This is the second time I buy this product. What I have to stress to potential buyers:1. It is NOT from corn. This makes a far superior product, compared to most other sold in the market;2. It is cheaper (but not far cheaper) than similar products not from corn found -- found, for instance, at Whole Foods;3. It didn't cause me or my wife any side effect. Xylitol sometimes causes diarrhea, but this never happened to us;4. For sure, you will find cheaper xylitol in the market ... but beware, maybe it is not the same. The bag is resealable and keeps fresh for months. I used my former 5 pound bag for about 10 months, and even at the very end the product was as fresh as in the first day.All considered, a more that fair deal.

Great package size, good value and high qaulity
Since making the transition from sugar to Xylitol I've found local markets either don't routinely stock it or the packages are small for a very high price. I've bought Xylitol on Amazon before but it too was in a smaller package but that was just to try it.I had some criteria for my next order, the Xylitol had to be made from trees and not corn cobs and if possible "in country". Then, I wanted a larger package since I'm trying Xylitol out in baking and experimenting with a 1/2 sugar 1/2 Xylitol for that. This brand and packaging suits me just fine. I ordered and it came right away. The package is good and seals well unlike so many others that never seal right after you open them. Xylitol tastes just like it should, it was fresh and consistent. There is a label to note the freshness so you know you're not getting something that has been sitting somewhere or taking a world cruise before it gets to you, a bonus in my view.I know that there are debates surrounding the use of Xylitol as there is with anything and I'm not going entertain that here, I use it, find it to be a good alternative to processed white sugar and it's my personal choice. Would I buy this again? Sure, and I will. I like to stick with vendors and brands so long as they maintain quality and fill orders promptly. If you want good Xylitol made from birch trees and not corn cobs and see the benefit of a USA product, I recommend this brand and seller.

No Aftertaste What-so-ever!
I am VERY partial to the taste of sugar. I just think it has a clean taste, it's sweet, and has no after taste. I don't even like honey as a substitute because it has too much flavor. I have tried Stevia, Splenda, Equal, Sweet N Low, etc. in baked goods and never found one that I could even take a bite of without spitting out. Then along came Xylitol! It has no aftertaste what-so-ever. I can literally eat a spoonful and it tastes just like sugar. I have used it in Tea (not a coffee fan), baked goods, and pretty much everything else that calls for sugar and it works great. It is a little less sweet than sugar, so I tend to add just a little bit extra in recipes, maybe 15% more. I have read and heard that people can have "gastrointestinal upset" with xylitol, but I have never had an issue, nor has anyone in the the house and it's not like we limit our intake. I honestly think this is a great quality product and that's why it has never bothered us. If you don't get this product, I would recommending getting xylitol that is produced from 100% birch and in the United States because of some pretty extensive research I did before buying this.
