A good compromise between price and accuracy.
This is a perfectly good hobbyist workshop instrument. The dial is better than a vernier for those of us with less than perfect eyesignt, and it doesn't need batteries! It measured a standard 25mm test block as 24.97mm, which is not perfect, but not bad at the price.Since writing the original review I have been able to check this caliper against two rather more expensive instruments, to see how its accuracy drops off when measuring larger objects. The answer seems to be that it doesn't. Possibly it was worth five stars. However, the description as Inch/Metric could be misleading. It is a purely metric measuring instrument, as the product photograph shows.
