Racor look a like that does the job at half the price!
Looks almost like the real racor except a billion $ cheaper! Looks great, easy access to filter from top. Actually filtered water to bottom bowl for draining! So that was the pourpose of why I bought this filter. I used it for diesel polishing my boat diesel fuel..The only difficulty is finding the metric size In and Out fittings! Cannot! find metric size at home depot, lowes, auto parts stores! must order parts. Ended up using 3/8 size with lots of thread seal to keep it in place. For permanent use, I would have tolerated the metric fitting that came with it for safety! otherwise its a good product.

It could be a better copy
Yes its a rip off of a Racor and its great value for money How ever small things that make it a pain to use.1 to bolt this unit to a panel you will have to take the frame off to get access to be able to do that.2 BUT 2 of the 4 bolts that hold the frame to the housing are partly recessed in a hole which is too narrow to allow a socket or a spanner be able to turn them to detach the frame !!!Hose fittings- whilst it comes with a pair of straight hose connectors I think the majority of boats have the hoses coming up from below and need to have a 90 degree fitting( not provided) the problem is that you cannot twist these connectors into the body as the frame gets in the way. OR you take the frame off but you cant because you cant get to 2 of the bolts..Stupid stuff- The label /directions has been put on upside down on the filter housing and whilst IN has been etched next to the In hose connection OUT has been etched upside down.. OH and a strange red ring loose in the bowl for no apparent reason.Update as the frame is aluminum You can with effort bang an 8m socket forcing the slight widening of the hole to just be able to remove the 2 bolts Then drill out the holes slightly so the socket fits. It will be impossible to do once the units are mounted.I bought 4 1 was a reject one I think as the other 3 were all the same. NB the bolt problem and frame design is the same on all 4 Good luckMaybe these are a reject batch

The product is an exultant product. It need to come with adapted for standard ¼" NPT.
A very good product at a reasonable price.I wish they would provide the fittings with standard pipe treads instead of the hose barb fittings. Every time i buy one of these I have to go to the shop and buy metric oring fittings to NPT to adapted it to the size hose. usually ¼" or 5/16" and some times ⅜".
