Makes giving pills EASY!
My vet showed me how to use the first time. The written directions say which tips to use for feeding a kitten, for capsules, or tablets but not how to give pills to a cat.I love that different tip types were provided. I've used a different pill gun and it was rendered useless fairly quickly because the rubber tip tore. These tips are much thicker and because there are different types provided you can customize the pill gun for each use.The handle is comfortable and easy to use, makes it so I can quickly give my cat his pill.I load the pill, collect my cat, give him some pets, scruff him (makes it so his mouth is almost open), I say open, bring Piller toward the side of his mouth, as he opens I put the Piller toward the back of his mouth and push the pill down the back of his throat and it's over! Very quick. I still have a hold of him giving him loving pets, positive praise and treats. Want to make sure this is always a good thing for him.

A lifesaver for my dog
This product is a lifesaver! My dog gets a pill 3 times a day for seizures and is not a big eater. Once I got the hang of this down, he never missed a dose again. Here is my trick: i wrap a towel around his neck, and sit behind him with his body against mine so can’t run away. I use a separate small syringe and fill it with either chicken broth or watered down food (something to get him licking his lips). I do not put liquid in the pill gun because it makes the pill dissolve. Then. I use the pill gun and make sure I am shooting the pill at his throat. Then I use another small syringe of broth or food to make sure he swallows. Sometimes it works right away, and sometimes it takes a couple of tries. It’s so much better than stressing about him eating the pill.

Does NOT Work- Choked my dog!
This so called medicine applicator looks good in theory. Sadly it comes in two pieces...the main syringe and the rubber tip (which you put the meds in)...unfortunately with thicker meds, the pressure blew off the tip and lodged in my dogs throat. Being a Chihuahua, it was very traumatic as she is small and has a small throat with trachea issues. Maybe for bigger dogs it would work but for me, giving heart meds to a very sick dog with CHF and having it traumatize her and put her in a spell was very upsetting...it did more harm than good. Very very disappointed and money wasted!

Holds both pill and water without getting the pill wet
This device makes it easy for my cat to swallow his pill without tasting the bitter, nasty flavor of the medicine. He used to hate pill time and fight me tooth and nail because he has accidentally bit into a pill before and he knows they taste nasty. Now that I'm using this product, he doesn't hate pill time nearly as much. I was dry pilling him before; I think the water in this device makes the pill go down easier. The pills he takes dissolve instantly when they get wet, so I was initially concerned about the design of this product because I thought the pill would get wet while it was in the holder. However, it is possible to load the water into this device such that there is an air bubble at the tip where the pill is held. Due to capillary forces, the air bubble stays put and the pill does not get wet even if you turn the device upside down or set it down. The directions say to squeeze the device slowly to administer the medicine, but it easy to squeeze it too fast by mistake, and if you do this, the water comes out very fast. I was concerned about the water pressure hurting him, so I tested it in my own mouth. The high pressure water did not hurt, but I did have a slightly sore spot in my mouth for a couple minutes afterwards.Update: I've been using this for three months. Tonight the silicone tip came off with the pill and my cat swallowed it. I took him to the vet and they got him to puke it up. I am not sure why the silicone tip came off. I may have jammed the pill into it too tightly and the water pressure pushed it off.

Works at making meds a little easier!
I’ve used pill poppers in the past but recently bought this to replace an old one. Glad I bought the 2 pack! My new kitten needs antibiotics and pain meds after surgery. This has 2 separate heads to pick from depending on how big/what you are giving. With a little coconut oil on the plunger and on the pill it went down on the first try. The coconut oil makes the plunger slide smoothly to make sure I’m able to push the pill out without issue. Kitty takes it without too much fight! Would purchase again.

Seals leak
This looked like the answer for giving my cat a pill with some water. The descriptions say it is for liquids however the seals are cheaply and poorly made. This results in a syringe that will draw up liquid and if you some how get some into the tube it leaks past the seal. Such a shame - with a proper o ring seal this would be a salvation for giving a cat a pill. who wants to dry swallow a pill? You wouldn't want ot do it yourself.

Necessity if you need to pill your cat but still love your fingers
A NECESSITY if you have to pill your cats and value your fingers! Add a LITTLE water into the chamber. Place pill in top. Tilt cats head back. Insert in corner of mouth and release the pill as far down your cats throat as possible without injury to animal. Close cats mouth. Gently stroke throat and wait for cat to swallow. DO NOT leave pill in top while there is water in the chamber for more than a few seconds or pill will turn to mush. And I said A LITTLE WATER in the chamber. Just a few drops to aid in swallowing. DO NOT WATER BOARD CAT!
