Not Too Shabby
I was on the hunt for a pair of non-dress, waterproof (windproof would be a bonus) gloves for cleaning the snow off school buses at work. I stumbled upon the review from the airport ramp employee, and that sold me! They fit pretty snugly and are stiff just like others mentioned, at least right out of the box. I’d definitely recommend sizing up by a size or two from what you usually wear. They seem to check all the boxes on paper, so I’m curious to see how they do when it’s time to tackle more snow removal!

Carhartt durability, great men's gloves
I bought the gloves for my husband this past winter. He said the gloves fit well and were durable, waterproof and warm in cold, snowy weather. He liked the flexibility and comfortable material when doing a variety of activities. This was a good winter gift for the money.

Perfect for ramp employees!
I work outside with aircraft, handling ground equipment, cargo, luggage, etc., all while facing the elements. Been doing this for five years now, and have tried many different brands and models of gloves, and the A690’s are by far the best glove for this line of work. The gloves can handle weather down to about the teens in temperature, anything lower and I recommend doubling up and putting on a thinner layer pair of gloves underneath these for extra warmth. On rainy days these keep my hands dry, even in heavy rain. The outer layer will absorb a good bit of water so it may seem they aren’t waterproof, but the inner layers keep that water out and your hands dry, which is perfect for ramp work. Just keep in mind, prolonged exposure to heavy rain excess of several hours, your hands may start to get damp. The thickness is enough that I don’t feel my fingers getting light pinches while handling luggage with wheels and handles, while also being thin enough that I have a good amount of dexterity to handle finer work details like opening small latches and panels on aircraft. The durability of the glove is pretty good for the price. I had a pair last me close to a full year, working 40 hours a week. The fingers started to rip slightly and the stuffing slowly made its way out over time. Considering how long they lasted, it wasn’t a bother to drop another 20 bucks for a new pair.Overall, these gloves are perfect IMO for outdoor work, especially for airport employees because of the waterproofing. My own complaint is that these gloves are very low stock, and when they restock they sell very quickly. I hope Carhartt will continue to make more of the A690’s, considering it is easily one of their best products.

Tight and loose in weird places, poor fit.
I don't have fat fingers, just the opposite, The fit around the fingers is so tight it takes effort to make a fist. There is no dexterity and the tightness hurts after a few minutes. Bought these to fish during the winter but that isn't going to be possible. I wasted my money

Waterproof yes windproof not so much.
These are my second pair of Carhart gloves. A bit thicker then I expected, a snug fit and good quality build but….on a bicycle or motorcycle In conditions Under 40degrees it doesn’t stop the bitter cold from eating your hands up… so for that reason these will only be know as my Second pair and not my last. The search for the perfect gloves continue
