NagaokaJN-P110 MP-110 cartridge exchange needle

It was time to update my stylus on my turntable. I had an old Nagaoka MP15 cartridge in a box. They sounded wonderful in the day. I looked on line and found that I could replace the stylus of the MP15 with a Nagaoka JNP-110 Stylus. Not going out during lockdown I decided to treat myself to a new stylus Bye Bye old Stanton cartridge and stylus, hello Nagaoka. Putting back the Nagaoka cartridge with the new stylus has brought my vinyl back to life. I would recommend it anytime. Vinyl junkie again.Sue

I've original MP11 cartridge. Now it's replaced with MP110, My original stylus was very aging so I decided to refresh it with this one. I do like the sound of this stylus, it's is very rich and deep. Considering its price it is %100 satisfaction.I have Thorens TD166 MKII + Realistic Stereo Valve Amplifier + KEF LS 50 monitor speakers. JNP-110 fits very good into this combination.

Leider in einem Unfall meine Nadel geschrottet.Diese wurde sehr flott geliefert, einfach auszutauschen und jetzt klingts wieder wie gewohnt.Das MP-110 ist mein GoTo-System da es einfach Spaß macht damit zu hören.Es gibt analytischere Systeme, es gibt druckvolleres. Aber das hier ist für mich der besteKompromiss aus allem. Man muss schon ordentlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen um dieses System zu toppen.Einzigartig: Absolut keine Problem mit "Innerdistortion"(Mit vielen Systemen lässt die Klangqualität besonders bei den Höhen zur Plattenmitte immer mehr nach.Jahrelang mit diesem Phänomen mit wesentlich teureren Systemen gekämpft.Mit dieser Cartridge existiert das Phänomen einfach nicht.)

I ordered an MP-110 a few years ago and was completely blown away how good it sounds on my system. The warmth of this cartridge and stylus complements my vintage setup perfectly which consists of:a Marantz 6300 turntable inherited from my dad after he passed away, a lesbox modified Yaqin MS23B all tube phono stage, a handful of warm sounding receivers by Sansui, Pioneer, Technics, Sherwood, and possibly my favorite a Yamaha CR-440 which isn't as warm as the others, but has a perfectly balanced "natural sound" that Yamaha is known for, and for speakers some mid-fi Polk, Sansui, and Kenwood (which sound great to my ears though).Recently I heard a tiny bit of distortion and after troubleshooting by resetting all turntable adjustments and swapping out tubes I suspected a worn stylus since I've put in approximately 700 hours. Nagaoka's recommended stylus replacement after 150-200 hours is completely absurd. Although I don't have a microscope to see the stylus up close I can tell by ear it far surpasses their recommendation.I ordered up a JN P-110 and sure enough that perfectly magical sound was back!Highly recommended for rich, detailed, warm sound from your records!PS - I've tried the JN P-200 stylus on my MP-110 cartridge body and it sounded better than the P-110 but I don't think the price was worth the upgrade. It might be worth it if you use it on the recommended P-200 cartridge body.
