This is a great all-in-one kit for people who are starting out with embroidery. Lots of bright colors! The case is pretty sturdy; the lid is on hinges so it opens completely. The scissors are sharp, but don't have the smoothest action.It has a lot blunt needles that are more appropriate for cross-stitch. Some needles were really big like yarn needles. I already had embroidery needles but you will need to buy embroidery needles. The needles come in a plastic tube holder, which I *did* need. The threaders are nice, not one of those cheap tin foil ones that fall apart if you pull on them.The thread is not the best quality, but it is actually much better than I was expecting. It has lint and is a little rough. But, it's has a decent gloss to it and the colors are vibrant. The variety of colors is awesome and having them on the cardboard bobbins is really nice.I would recommend this to people who are starting out, looking for a gift for a young or novice crafter, or are on a tight budget. The value is pretty great.

I was looking online for a few particular colors to do a new cross stitch project when I came across this package. For the price of a few colors, I could get this nicely organized rainbow of colors plus the additional accessories. This is a great value. It has all the colors you could need for most projects, plus a nice case, and the sewing essentials like scissors & more. Everything was of high quality. I had a small crack in the plastic case in one corner, so perhaps the plastic needs a bit more protection in the amazon box but that was pretty minor. I covered it with clear shipping tape & you can't see it. Well worth the money & the product is excellent. The thread is high-quality DMC style. I would order from this company again.

I will start by saying the thread/floss is not actual DMC but, in my opinion, this does not matter. I have DMC thread and a few other types and I have to say I prefer this product to all the others I have tried. The quality is so impressive. The thread is soft, does NOT bleed at all when washed, and is so easy to work with. I love that it arrived in the box as pictured and all of the thread is already wound on the cardboard. The variety of colors is so nice to have. I really like that it comes with so many needles and needle threaders. I will be ordering more from this company in the very near future since you can never have enough thread/color options.

I am fairly new to embroidery and wanted to branch off from the kits I had been previously using. I did not, however, know how to start building up a collection of floss. This honestly surpassed my expectations. The floss is bright and wonderfully packaged around bobbins and come in a clear sturdy plastic case. The floss bobbins also have coordinating numbers for the DMC threads so if you run out, or really like a color, you know which one to buy. It also came with thread nippers, needles, thimbles, needle threaders and a small poof to hold needles. Honestly this is perfect for a beginner and really comes with everything you will need besides a hoop, fabric, and pattern. Highly recommend this product.

Wow and Wow!! We were pleasantly surprised and quite impressed with your product. The way it was bubble wrapped was perfect, I was hesitant at first about ordering it because the case is plastic. I'm glad I did. Everything inside was so neat and tidy, it arrived perfect! Very impressive packaging and overall product! Keep up the great work! Oh, and the Thank You card was a nice touch too.Many years ago my Grandmother taught me how to embroidery quilt blocks. She would then set the quilt and add her special touches and viola` a quilt was made. So I thought. She tried over the years to teach me how to do the quilting and I regret not taking the time to "learn". Well, I am soon to be 54 and she 94 years old, and I want to glean as much of what she can teach me as time allows. So... I ordered your kit, some hoops and some quilt blocks. I will be spending this summer sitting alongside my Granny (hopefully I get my 12 blocks done in time) and she will loving show me everything I need to know. I am so happy to have ordered this package of assorted floss. If you are embarking on a large project that needs a lot of one color, this set isn't for you. BUT, if you are doing the kind of projects I am that require many shades of the same color, you are going to love this. The quality of the floss is comparable to anything in a craft or art supply store, and the choices are making me itch to get started embroidering. The packaging is another thing I appreciate. It will be so easy to keep everything contained and organized. I may just order another to be sure I will have plenty of these luscious colors for a long time to come.

I lost a box of floss in a recent move and searched for it for days. I finally realized I had to replace everything in order to do a craft project for my granddaughters. I was thrilled to find this where the floss was already wrapped around "spools" and I didn't have to do all the work to organize all the floss. They are all arranged per color and the box includes a wide selection of colors. A cutter, seam ripper, needles and a few additional items were also included. Thank you for this wonderful kit!

It's easy to store, and great for travel! Has everything you need for an embroidery project, except the project itself!! I purchased it so I could have a large selection of floss for making Dorset buttons, and it's perfect for my needs. You can't go wrong with DMC brand floss, and all colors are clearly marked with the number, which makes it very easy to replace the ones you use up with a project. The delivery was fast, and packaging was great...I'll be ordering one of these for my daughter, who does cross stitch!
