Red Lantern Korean Style 18 Drawer Herbal Medicine Chest Organizer, Brown

This might be a nice chest but it was never completely unwrapped to find out because of severe damage to the legs. The legs are unsupported -- no cross bracing and no foam insert between the legs -- and apparently get horribly crushed just by the chest weight moving inside the box. Cannot be repaired.

I bought this as a tea chest because I have a bit of a tea addiction (I recently moved & filled a medium uhaul box (18in x 18in x 16in) with tea & another medium box with tea stuff, like cups, pots, strainers, etc.). The good news is that this thing is GORGEOUS. It has a slight lacquer smell fresh out of the box, but the smell dissipates quickly. The bad news is that the drawers aren't as big as I thought, so the individually wrapped tea bags won't fit " the normal way". You can fit 14-18 bags in a drawer if you lay them down, though.Overall, I'm so glad I got this. It fits my decor, is well-made (if you're lucky enough to get an undamaged one), and is beautiful.

It's extremely unfortunate that this arrived to us broken, because it is an absolutely beautiful item that I was very happy to pay for (it's a gift for a Korean mother). Three stars because it's beautiful but appears to be exceptionally fragile or requires better packaging.

I took a chance since some others had issues with receipt damages. I had no problem first try! This is a lovely cabinet! The wood, finish and brass accents were perfect. On my older carpet the cabinet seemed a little unstable (reason for 4 not 5 stars). I fixed that with a step of similar material. I suspect this wouldn’t be a problem on hardwood or other similar surfaces.

I was excited to receive this purchase until I carefully opened the box and discovered it was falling apart. Nails were hanging out and there were breaks on the wood. Truly, this furniture was mediocrely made or constructed. I would like to return this product or refund my payment.

It’s solid, but how the hell do you open the cabinet doors with this fish piece on the handles?

This beautiful chest arrived broken without corresponding damage to the packaging, which leads me to believe that it was returned before and just repackages to sell again hoping someone will just accept it. Not a good business model. :-(

Everything I wanted and more. This piece is so well crafted, genuine wood, brass pieces fitted nicely. Very solid. It is packaged very well and delivered with care... Not a dent or scratch on it. The only drawback is trying to figure out how to open the fish lock with the key provided. Once you figure it out it's super easy!
