Hydronix HF3-10CLWH12, 10" Clear Housing with White Rib Cap for RO & Filtration Systems, 1/2" Ports

I'm using this in a homemade aquarium filter. My snapping turtle needs water too far below the top of the tank for a regular aquarium filter to work, and she's many orders of magnitude too messy for a standard "turtle filter" to have any hope of keeping the tank anything that even a slob like me could regard as clean. So, three of these, connected by 3/8" vinyl tubing.Only negative is that standard 1/2" NPT barb adapters leak, even with teflon tape, but that's fixed with o-rings as long as you're using adapters with any sort of collar. That said, given that this costs ~$10 less than any of the other similar housings, I'm not taking off a star, as you can still get it leak-free for cheaper than the other options (which may also leak in the same way, as I haven't personally tried any others).

I purchased this to use with Co2 scrubber media for a reef tank. It works as expected. The clear housing allows to see color changes in the media, which happens to be from white to purple. In retrospect, I should have bought a true clear housing as the people tiny somewhat hides the color change. Though you can still see it.

Leaks right out the box :)
