Q: Can this product be used on 2 1/2 to 5 ton a/c units?? for an r22

you can but it's only 1/2 ounce. it's for appliances.it is not enough for a full size unit you need to look for the 2.5 to 5 ton application it is about 5 Ounces.

Q: Can this work on a 3 ton unit?

Yes, before you buy select the right product depend on the unit capacity and service valve size. (this product support 1 to 6 ton and 1/4" service valve).

Q: I used this product with great success several years ago. It seems the same system may have developed a secondary small leak. Can I apply it again?

I applied this product in July on a 4 ton heat pump unit and it’s still working. I don’t know if a second application would help check with the manufacture..
