No, it does not work for G7. This comes with G8-G10 caddy, which are different from G7 caddies. Also, G7 and G8 servers only have Legacy BIOS, so you would need to partition any drive above 2TB if installing a Windows Operating System as the C: drive only allows a max size of 2TB.
