Q: Does it come with faceplate for opposite door? Or only 1 faceplate for lock side of door?

It Does not come with a frame strike plate, storefront doors do not require one as they simply use a cutout in the frame.

Q: Will this work on a wood door?

These locks are designed to work with aluminum storefront doors. I suppose you could mortise one of these into a wooden door but it seems that would be a huge amount of work. Depending on the thickness of the wooden doors, the lock cylinders might be too short.

Q: can I order this item with two thumb tabs instead of a key on one side??

With two thumb turns, the door would never be secured.

Q: Will this work on a wood door?

No they are for storefront glass aluminum framed doors.
