Bought this to replace a movement on a large clock on our porch. Simply excellent instructions, from determining what length shaft you need to installing the unit. Best of all, it came with a complete assortment of hands so no need to guess and measure before ordering. The minute hand that was closest to the size I needed was just a bit long but it was a simple matter to cut it to the correct size (the hands are made of very thin metal that can be trimmed with a good pair of scissors). Great product and solution!

I ordered this kit to replace a clock mechanism that stopped working. The included instructions are crystal clear and I had a working clock about ten minutes later. The only caveat is that I couldn’t get the smaller clock hands to fit correctly on the shaft. The larger hands seemed to fit perfectly but they were too large for my clock. Fortunately I had kept the original clock hardware and those hands were a good fit on the new mechanism. The new clock keeps good time and is very quiet, but not silent which is fine with me. I probably could have drilled out the smaller hands to fit the shaft, and everything else about the item is great so I only deducted one star.

But only worked for about a week n quit. Do not know why changed batteries several times . I do not drive so hard to take back. . Guess I got a lemon

Fixed a large Sterling & Nobel clock’s quartz clock movement. I was able to reuse the original clock hands after gently using a phillips screwdriver to slightly enlarge the hole for the minute hand. Wife is happy as we saved a clock that looked good in stairway of a rustic cabin.

I ordered this to replace one that stopped working on my 10 inch wall clock. Before ordering I took the old one out and measured the thread length to determine which to order. The replacement arrived and it looked very similar to the old one I installed it but found the old minute hand would not fit so used one of the new hand’s that came with it. I had it installed in about 15 minutes. Has been working great for the week since installation. Great replacement. Easy to install. Arrived quickly.

The nut that was included was too big so I had to use the one from the old one. Took a minute to figure out what was wrong but finally got it installed. It has lost a minute in the week I’ve had it on the clock but I can live with that.

I replaced the clock in a shadowbox with a beachy theme. The clock fit and is working fine. I used the smallest set of hands and had to snip off a little of the minute hand so it would work inside the enclosed clock section.

There is no seconds sweep hand. To fit the clock I installed it in, I had to whittle off a coule of plastic indexing bumps on the case of the mechanism and the nut that secured the hands to the shafts added more depth than the old clock had room for. it was a cheap old wall clock, so I just drilled a hole thrugh the plastic crystal so I could reassemple the clock when it was installed. Who cares? Oh well.

Tried bringing my wall clock into a watch repair shop but they didn’t want to handle it, so I decided to try and repair it myself. Amazon had a great selection of different clock mechanisms, so picking the right one was easy. Would definitely do this again.

Hands were big enough for my really largeClock. Easy enough to install that my three year old helped his father do it!
