KenwoodKFCX174 Excelon 80W RMS Speakers

The speakers I received were 100% genuine, exactly what the listing stated: Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X174 6.5" coaxial car speakers. Many reviewers from a few years ago were saying that they got something different, but that was not my experience at all in June 2022.I installed these in my rear doors, replacing a pair of Alpine S-S65 speakers that just didn't really impress me. Comparably priced, these eXcelons definitely produce a fuller sound, better midbass and nicely balanced highs. Overall I'd say the "signature" of these speakers is a nice, full-bodied sound profile, something quite elusive up til now, and very sonically pleasing.I run a 12" ported Infinity sub in the rear compartment and have a Kicker 4 channel amp driving the door speakers, plus an 8" underseat powered Kenwood subwoofer. It's hard to say if I'm in team SQ or SPL, I think somewhere in the middle. I love working on car audio and enjoying the results. I'm pleased with this upgrade and I highly recommend grabbing these if you're even remotely interested, or curious about wherher they'd make your car audio sound better. They for sure will.Don't bother getting them if you're not running them off an amplifier. They won't deliver their full potential and you'll question yourself about why you spent so much on such a silly thing. Either get into it or save yourself the money and spend it on something more meaningful to you.

Rounded out my Excelon Kenwood set up nicely,My aim was not to share my music 4/5 houses from mine, but have crystal clear music no matter what genre I am listening to.Combined with Kenwood 6x9's, 4 tweeters, a 8" sub, 6 channel amp and a Clarion EQ, I am quite satisfied with my purchase. Over the stock paper cones.

Great pair of speakers to purchase to get into upgrades sound system with the price not being to high & good quality sound. I have installed in Toyota Land Cruiser GXR.

Good Sound but test fit on a 1990 Mazda Miata with the stock, Miata speaker cover shows it will not fit with the stock Speaker covers. The speaker rubber touches the cover plate :( I've just passed the 30 day return window :( :( But as a Prime Memnber - Amazon looked after me - - thank you amazon

For the price and the production of these speakers you can't go wrong.Love the tweeter on these pair of excelon's--with an 8 or 10 inch subwoofer let the music play!they are clear and instrumental.
